Doesn’t look great from outside, but inside it was great. Dan was full of info.

"Interior is great, exterior is a mess"

6.0

The interior was beautiful! It retained all of it's 1898 glory, which I absolutely loved -- the ceiling, the chandelier in the hall, the clapboard, the baseboards, the window over the door; I even noticed the tiny details like the old door handles and door hinges. It is close to downtown with restaurants within walking distance. The room was small, but it was clean, comfortable, and cozy. However, there's a lot of construction going on at the moment so the exterior was an absolute mess! Weeds growing around the building (no landscaping), the front porch looked rough, strong smell of cat urine as you walk by the old Carriage House in the back to enter the building, trash from construction scattered everywhere. I was extremely disappointed by the outside, but loved the inside. I would stay here again after all the construction is completed. There is no breakfast on site, but they do give you a $10 voucher per person to eat at a nearby diner.

"Enjoyed our stay"

10.0

Lovely old-fashioned inn, comfortable bed, lots of nice touches. Kind of a "bed and breakfast" feel to the place (although breakfast was provided via vouchers for a charming local eatery).

"Owner owned and operated charming slice of History"

10.0

This was our second time staying here. It has since been taken over by new ownership. The old Inn has been given a New lease on life. The rooms are quaint and charming. There is nothing missing from this perfect experience, in our opinion. Besides the flat screen tv and HVAC, there are no other modern amenities in the rooms. It is exactly as it should be. It is located in walking or stumbling distance from the local restaurants ,bars, and antique stores.

"Centrally located hotel"

8.0

An interesting looking place that I've driven by a hundred times. Finally decided to give it a try. What a wonderful experience ! It had a historical (built in 1898) feel, yet updated just enough to where it had a cool-funky-ness to it. They are still updating and construction is still going on, but they didn't work through the weekend, so it didn't impact us in any way. Dan met us at the door and became our immediate tour guide...what a treat ! Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable...everything that we need in a hotel room. If I have any complaints, it would be the T.V. You can't turn it off ! The first night, the blue screen annoyed us, but I was too lazy to get up. The next morning, I unplugged it...problem solved ! We had a wonderful stay and have every intention of coming back again...WE LOVED IT !

"Welcome “Inn”"

10.0

Very pleasant! The room we stayed in was #3. Very clean and quiet inn. I thought the breakfast voucher for the restaurant down the street was a nice touch. This was my second visit at The Prince Solms Inn and I definitely will stay here again.

Very friendly staff, first night had to endure loud guests outside our window on patio, second night much more enjoyable. Room was freezing first night and requested adjustment for second night and it was much better.
