Such a poor experience. Come on, Hilton, pick up your game! Ice maker broken on our floor, no ice bucket, when ice bucket delivered, the plastic bag didn't fit into the bucket. Asked for cups for coffee - brought plastic cups instead. I requested foam pillows in advance, were not there. In fitness room, one treadmill of the two were broken, the cannister for wipes was empty, the elliptical had broken handles. In the fitness room, sign said to ask for headphones at the front desk, person at the desk had no idea what I was talking about. On the good side, Maria at teh bar was amazing...

The Pennywell Hotel is beautiful. They used the remnants of the bank to enhance the overall ambiance. The restaurant served simple but delicious meals. My server Kayla was kind and thoughtful. She even gave me a cup of coffee to go since it was raining outside and I had to stay in. Our valet Connor was very nice. I'd forgotten something in the car, and he casually walked me over, stayed with me until I got it out of the car and then escorted me back upstairs. I really can't say enough about the hotel and its staff as they were all wonderful, from the ladies who cleaned the rooms to the front desk staff. A room was clean and well appointed.I truly enjoyed my stay.

Hilton does a good job renovating grand old buildings; the Pennywill was once a bank. Tastefully decorated room, although a bit small. Wonderful, welcoming staff—especially Conner the valet.

Things started off in the right foot when Conner Cave, in charge of valet parking, helped unload and brought my bags to the lobby in the grand old style. The lobby and my room are gorgeous, this being an old bank building. Looking forward to dinner! A great location.

This should not be the top rated hotel on Trip Advisor for St. Louis. We arrived today to find the refrigerator open with a towel in it and a huge iceberg in the freezer section. I guess they wanted us to defrost it for them since the towel was dry and it was obviously recently set up that way. The AC is noisy and the floors have not been vacuumed. I contacted management and they apologized but did not offer to make it right. We are glad we are only here for one night.

I stayed here October 4-5 my card was twice for the same room. And it immediately came up my phone as a alert, I spoke with the front desk clerk and she stated that wasn't the case until I show her my alert on the phone and spoke with Manager Ryan this morning I was charged 633.00 for room that shouldn't cost 318.00 explain?? Which resulted in my acct overdrafts with fee.
