Prospect Hill Inn & Restaurant

Stayed 1 night after visiting student at UVA. Very attentive staff but not intrusive, gave us space to relax and wonder the grounds. Dinner at the restaurant and breakfast the next morning were both outstanding. Will definitely be back.

Hospitality was great. Quiet and safe as well as beautifull. The kitty cats were friendly. That was the gravy.

We were excited about our visit and were not disappointed. The staff were very helpful, polite and hospitable. It was a wonderful experience and the food was superb. A truly gormet dining experience. Could not have improved on the meals. What a wonderful place to relax and soak up southern charm and history. We will definitely be returning next year! Now if we could just get the sun to cooperate!

The stay was perfect! Nearly 300 years of Virginia history from the main plantation house to the various cottages. We stayed in the Overseer's cottage and could not be happier with our choice. It was very romantic, secluded and peaceful. We were initially greeted by 'Doc' the owner and he took special care to ensure we had everything we wanted. It was very interesting to hear the history of Prospect Hill and of all the hard work which has been put into the place. Doc and his family are quite proud of the place and you can sense the joy they have in sharing the place with others. Our room was equipped with a wood fireplace, Keurig coffeemaker, complimentary wine, fresh well water and a huge king size four poster bed that you just sunk in to! The staff are exceptional especially the on site Chef. The food was fantastic! I have stayed at many B&B's and have purposely started to steer myself away from the traditional 4 room ranch style houses that remind you of staying at a friend's house. If you wish to stay at a place that is unique, has history and charm, then this is the place for you! We are definitely returning again as I'm curious as to what Prospect hill looks like in the winter snow.

Dazu Pool und schönste Landschaft, nahe Monticello, dem Wohnsitz ( Plantage) Jeffersons. Das Restaurant bietet eine aussergewöhnliche Küche, die man in dieser Qualität nicht erwartet; regionale Produkte; Preis Leistung top.

Wonderful place to spend an evening. Unfortunately missed dinner but more than made up for it over a simply fantastic breakfast and swim in the pool before departing. The Inn has managed to make one feel as if they have gone back in time with just the right amount of comfort expected in a luxury hotel.

Wonderful old plantation B & B , but it's plumbing had issues (nothing a plunger couldn't fix)

Secluded and historic. Beautiful landscape, amazing food! Will visit again
