Sunset Hill House

I was so pleasantly surprised with this sweet little hotel. The view from my room was stunning! The bedroom was nicely decorated and huge! The grounds are lovely, there’s even a pool. I didn’t eat at the restaurant, but had some cocktails there and they were so good! Staff very friendly. I would absolutely stay again. What a gem!

Thin walls could’ve been a problem, but we were lucky with our neighbors. No creamer at the coffee station.

The restaurant wasn’t open on Saturday night due to a wedding on the premises. No continental breakfast.

It’s like a bed and breakfast. I unfortunately struggle with stairs and we had to go up a full flight of stairs with our luggage. I was unaware of this when booking. We have not seen any staff, just talked through text. Other than those two things it is very nice.

Innkeeper and chef were nice enough. It felt like there was no life in the house, pool needs to be repainted, bugs all over the backyard and frogs in the pool. The inn needs some desperate repairs. The views were great and soft sheets and blankets.

We booked this stay last minute on a road trip, and it was the best decision! The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff helpful and welcoming, the check-in and check-out easy as pie. The views of Franconia ridge are just magical, and the grounds are lovely.
