Macdonald Elmers Court Resort

Pool and gym were excellent size and well facillitated. Dedicated parking made it easy. Kitchen was excellent and well supplied. Grounds were fantastic. Patio was an excellent suntrap and reasonably furnished. Reception staff were excellent, as were the Leisure Centre staff. Free acsess to Gym classes was a welcome bonus.

Strange that the odd smell as you enter the lodge and then the room hasn't been successfully addressed. We were alerted to it by other reveiws, and sure enough we experienced it. The lounge furniture in our accomodaton was a bit tired and dated. One of the lounge patio doors glass was marked/stained/frosted. Obviously nothing could have been done about it in the time frame we were there. Thought the adults only swim time in the evening could have been brought forward to start at 1800. The kids had it all afternoon, hadn't they gone back home for their tea by then?

Apartment was much larger than expected. Use of Pools etc. was a bonus. Well located for exploring the New Forest and coastal attractions. Close to Lymington.

Some of the fixtures and fittings were a bit dated and worn. Hot water was tepid on the first night (was very late in the evening though).

Peaceful and quiet setting I stayed Mon-Fri so can't speak for the busier periods but massive grounds well maintained with extremely attentive, caring and friendly staff members including the Tudor bar staff which were very welcoming upon every visit well done. My room was clean and tidy if in need of an update such a shame because the room had such an outstanding view it could be so much more. Still I had a fantastic 5day stay thank you.

The apartment was clean and a good size. It had an amazing view.

Leisure center and outdoor pool. Location

The rooms are outdated. Phone doesn't work, electric stove didn't worked and so did the dish washer . There were no toiletry in one of the bathrooms.

Location was good

Very dated accommodation, very unclean with dust everywhere and stains all over the carpet. The shower was very poor and not fit for use.

We stayed here for 4 nights as a family of 5 recently and had a really great stay. I was skeptical given some of the reviews but I'm glad we booked this anyway. We had a 2 bedroom self catering apartment and it was fantastic for us; very spacious, clean and well equipped. As some reviews state, it is a little dated but actually we thought it was quite charming. The pool facilities were great for our children, and the park and stunning grounds were fab too. This was far more affordable than air bnbs and caravans in the local area, I don't know why you wouldn't choose this as an option. As many review responses state, they are waiting for major investment, when that happens this place will be outstanding. Until then, I still wouldn't hesitate to return!!

It had a couple of quirks like a very noisy water pump whenever you turned on a tap or flushed a loo, and the windows weren't all that safe for children (we just didn't use the ones without safety catches). But honestly this didn't really affect our stay.

Great location overlooking the Solent. Nice indoor and outdoor pools.

There were School Proms on all 3 nights that we stayed there. Sitting on the terrace with a hundred 16 year olds on the terrace and wandering around the garden wasn’t an option for us so we were forced to eat in Lymington each evening. Lots of noise when the disco finished and they were all picked up
