GBGBStaff helpful and polite and accommodating and changed our room . Bar food good, Manor House and main hotel areas clean. Loved the location and outdoor space.
Had booked for two nights but only stayed for one. Self catering block with sea view we stayed in not clean , smelt stale and extremely tired and in need of refurb. Puffed up the cushions and a tone of dust came out. Pillows in bedding had marks over them without pillow protectors which were unclean to sleep on. Balcony area very tired and didn’t feel safe for the children due to the rusted and peeled paint safety bars and uneven concrete patio slabs. More like a 2-3 star accommodation and not worthy of a 4 star.
This property is outdated and old fashioned, needing prompt refurbishment. Location was great for the ferry and bus tour and i cannot comment on the hotel or all the self catering units. However if you are given one of rhe cottages, be prepared to step back intot 1940s. Our had a leak which was luckily fixed promptly but was definitely not a 4 star accommodation.

Book with your eyes open, it’s very reasonably priced for self catering accomm but it’s old, dated and very tired. Lots of investment in the property is needed but it has some old school charm.
