Property is clean and well kept. Just trash of Eureka hangs out in ally near hotel.

This was the first time we’ve stayed here and I promise you, it will not be our last. I was especially impressed with Sarah - so helpful with check-in and also recommending some incredible restaurants within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and she made it even better. We look forward to our next visit.

This is always my GO TO place when I’m in Eureka - my family lives there. Rooms are so quaint (capturing the history of Eureka) with modern amenities (robes, plush towels etc) .. Rooms very spacious. Coffee and cookies; complimentary glass of wine; amazing breakfast are all part of the rate! The NICEST staff! I am always there too short and never really get to enjoy all it has to offer. Lots of parking on side. There is a large homeless community on the other side of their fence but they do a great job of fencing in your car and all the fun old town shoppes and restaurants are the opposite way. Must go see the Carson Mansion - a couple block walk… at this point, I never stay anywhere else. 6 stars if I could 😊

We woke up at 1:30 am to the sound of homeless men rummaging in trash cans, just outside the parking lot fence, with bright flashlights. Lots of glass bottles dropping into metal dumpsters.

This hotel is cozy and comfortable, with amenities like an abundance of thick fluffy towels, an in-room filtered water carafe

A lovely boutique hotel with excellent service throughout. Room was upgraded and included hot breakfast the next morning. Staff couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating.

Everything was good except the marijuana joint found in the bathroom.

Carter House Inn was a delight! The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room was equipped with bathrobes and luxurious towels. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. As we stayed over on a Monday, the restaurant was closed so we couldn’t experience dinner, but the menu is enticing! The staff members were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

The inn was wonderful. From the lavender blooming in its gardens to the plush towels and bathrobes. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious. Breakfast was a culinary treat both mornings. The restaurant wasn’t open the two days of our stay, the menu promised a tantalizing array of food.
