Staff were lovely and hotel very convenient for pubs etc will be back

Mismatched ill-fitting carpet throughout the hotel, burn marks on carpets, a shower that barely worked correctly. Uncomfortable beds, signs were printed on A4. Could hear every sound outside, including the glass bins being emptied outside. I feel I definitely overpaid for the

It was okay but room was gross and dirty

Good central location. Dated decor. Baths had badly chipped enamel. Electrics were concerning and could be heard sparking. Noise from nearby bar was excessive. This was followed by whining bearings on air con fan all night.

Dirty and mouldy room. Old clothes in the wardrobe. Faulty lift. Grubby bathroom. Beds uncomfortable. Disgusting

We went by train. It was close to the hotel.

The room and bathroom were excellent. Staff was amenable and very helpful. Good place to stay. Also right across from the Central Train Station and really not that noisy!!! Great TV, Great beds.

Very helpful at switching my booking for an earlier date ,due to the work trip to Inner Hebrides prior to the storm. The kind lady was helpful on the phone arriving from South East of England to this ad hoc urgent change of travel schedule. The chapsst the Reception very helpful as well. The lady even remembered my name at the checkout in the morning. All this goes a long way and a warm human touch.

Great location and excellent staff

Friendly, helpful staff. Well stocked bar, comfortable room which resulted in a great nights sleep. Great location. Superb value.
