WorldMark Angels Camp

The WorldMark Angels Camp resort offers an ideal location to see and experience the Motherlode region of Northern California. An area of awesome natural beauty and historical significance from the early gold rush era. For someone already quite familiar with Southern California, the staff here was so helpful in giving assistance in planning what to do and where to go on a limited one-week stay on our first visit to Northern California. Even with the distance (~3 hrs drive) to Yosemite Park, so many other great options (State Parks, local events and the like) our time was well invested. Thank you to the staff, who answered our phone calls in advance planning, it helped in making this trip a very satisfying vacation.

We had a great week. There are a lot of things to do and see in that area. The resort is very nice and well maintained too. They have pickleball, but the surface is pretty much impossible to play on. It's covered in plastic type tiled flooring and the ball doesn't bounce right when it hits a seam. We had to drive to Mokolumne Hill to play, but that was okay. It's a great resort and the units are big and have everything you'd need.

The resort itself was nice, clean, and quiet. I went there on a girl's getaway where one of the four of us is a member for the past 30 years. It is not within walking distance of the town so that was a little disappointing. But the real disappointment was when we got home. After unwinding for a few days, I was ready to get on with life and realized I had left my makeup bag in the unit. I immediately called and spoke with a gentleman at the front desk that took a detailed description of what was missing. I knew exactly where I had left it and he assured me he would go check the unit as nobody had stayed in it since we checked out. He called me back to say it wasn't there, it hadn't been turned in to lost and found and housekeeping claimed they don't have it. I definitely know I left it in the drawer next to the bathroom sink. My friend, the owner has also repeatedly called and they keep saying it's not there. That tells me one thing.....somebody that works there is less than honest. I guess someone needed a bag of used makeup more than I do. So, my little inexpensive getaway ended up costing me $100 to replace the stolen/lost items.

Staff was exceptional! Chad and Cory made sure I had everything i needed and made sure my stay was in every way the most comfortable. I recommend this place to everyone i know. Will stay here again.

What is there not to like here?

Terrible experience. Ceiling fan light over bed kept turning itself on when we were trying to sleep. Device was sharing code with another unit. Security guard came into our unit at 11pm and disconnected light. After he left then fan kept coming on through next day. Packed up and lugged our stuff up and down stairs to next unit where washer was making grinding noise. Pocket door misaligned causing deep scratches in wood. Bathroom fan making screeching noise. Management was terrible. Will never stay with WorldMark again.

We loved that the hot tubs are scattered around the resort, meaning there was one just near us. The apartment had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. We also loved the fireplace.

That the coffee shop was closed during our stay (Tuesday and Wednesday).

The facility was exactly what we needed. The amenities were used and a highlight for the family, especially the pool. The staff were amazing an helped us deal with an issue with our room. They communicated well and responded promptly. We will definitely return.

We had an issue with our bedroom light/fan turning on at random times in the night. It woke us up several times by turning on. We called maintenance and they came right away. They fixed the problem by changing our fan frequency. Apparently this has happened a lot with the recent fan/light install.
