I enjoyed the friendly, helpful staff of the hotel and restaurant. The decor is inviting and there was always something more to catch my eye. The grounds are beautiful and quieting, and the view from the hotel is spectacular. I love that we could access the trail right from the hotel grounds. Our breakfasts at the restaurant were delicious, and the prices fair.

Beautiful view, even though our room was a side room. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly. We also enjoyed having happy hour on the patio.

The room and location were beautiful

The noise from the train. It literally ran outside the hotel all through the night and shakes the room and takes any 3-4 mins for each train to pass. Food was poor. Breakfast included in price but they had the cheek to charge us for a latte and a mocha - reasoning was to cover the labour cost of making and pouring? We also still had to pay tax and tips on top of breakfast. The extra cost of the room to either include or not include breakfast was £100 or approx $130 however the cost of our breakfast and 2 drinks did not even come to this so I do not understand why they would then charge? I had oatmeal and my husband had eggs Benedict along with a latte and a mocha. Everything at the hotel was chargeable - you can stay at a premier inn for significantly less and get better value for money in terms of breakfast and drinks. We were looking forward to using the spa however the steam room is for men or women - not mixed genders and some people go naked! Why can they not specify times for people to go naked and specify times when clothed couples can go into the steam room? Will not be staying again

The location, accommodations and staff were great. And we really enjoyed the window seat with the great view from our room, as well as the on-site restaurant. The proximity to the pier and beach was also very nice.

We liked walking into Fairhaven. Views were beautiful. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

We only stayed one night but expected the hotel itself to have more “property”. The train came by more often than expected.

We are disgusted with the service at this hotel. My husband bought a gift card for me for Christmas and we attempted to use it for our stay last night. When booking online through Hilton.com, you’re unable to use the gift card at checkout. I called the hotel DIRECTLY and asked them how to proceed. The receptionist said you can’t pay with gift cards online, that you put your credit card down for incidentals, and they’ll charge the gift card upon checkout. I had her re-clarify the process several times, at no point did she say “Make sure you’re booking directly through Hilton.com, otherwise you can’t use your gift card. We’ve had a lot of people get rerouted to 3rd party sites.” We somehow unfortunately got rerouted to a 3rd party and were unable to use our gift card. The manager was totally unapologetic, he didn’t even say he’d speak with the team. He did, however, have a very well versed speech about not booking through 3rd parties so clearly this has happened many times before. He made zero effort to help or provide any reassurance this wouldn’t happen again to others. He also didn’t provide any compensation, not even a meal at the restaurant. We’re so disappointed by his lack of professionalism and effort to make things right. He didn’t even apologize for our situation and essentially told us it’s on us. We won’t be back. If you have a gift card make sure you book directly through Hilton.com, beware of getting rerouted to a 3rd party.

This was a pleasant stay for sure. Everything was so good! I used to worry about the active rail, but in fact we couldn’t hear too much noise! It wasn’t that loud and wouldn’t disturb our sleep. The bath tub was the best thing of this hotel, it could fit 2 people easily.

Fireplace, windowseat/reading nook overlooking the water. Restaurant was fantastic. Did not get to enjoy the spa but it looked really nice. Loved our stay here! Walking distance to the pier, park, beach, coffee shop.
