South Beach Resort Hotel

A little older but probably one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed. Staff is very friendly alot of kids so great place for families!

The rooms need a deep cleaning or remodeling otherwise everything OKAY

I love the view and all of the amenities the hotel had to provide.

I wouldn’t call it a resort because it didn’t have a fridge or microwave in the rooms. I didn’t see an arcade like it mentioned. The breakfast provide was not quite a “resort” level. The blankets were stained in the room. The hot tub was peeling and wearing on the paint.

The staff was great. They were friendly and very accommodating to our needs. The property was an excellent location and had great views. You could get to most places on Marblehead and Danbury within 15 a minute drive.

The bed was not comfortable. It was too firm with little cushion on the top. The breakfast could have had a few more choices for gluten restricted diets.

Conveniently located to Marblehead Ferry dock for Kelly’s Island and everything Marblehead has to offer, including the Lighthouse. The resort itself is pretty.

The “Breakfast included” left a lot to be desired.. The coffee was watery, there were no bowls for oatmeal-the only thing that I might have eaten. They ran out of bananas. We had to drive into Marblehead to a cafe to get a decent breakfast.

The resort had a pool for just the kids that our grandkids really enjoyed! The park and the fishing pier were also fun. The bonfire at night was a great bonus.

We did not sleep but a few hours as the people above us ran their jacuzzi through the night and it was loud. So were they. With our two grandkids being so tired from the fun day we thought they would sleep great us too, but unfortunately terrible night. We could not sit outside and use our balcony which had a beautiful view of the lake because the people below us were chain smoking morning til night!

Lake views are beautiful. Pools are nice. The marina is another beautiful way to enjoy the views The shower was comfortable too.

Bed not comfortable and rooms definitely dated. But it was clean so that’s important.

Positive - Very clean facility and rooms were clean. Family Friendly. Negative - Most of the staff was not very friendly, rarely made eye contact. However, they did respond if we had questions. A few were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to converse with the families. Negative - The pillows were all flat, recommend getting better quality. Smoking was allowed in all pool areas.
