The Carriage House B&B

Wonderful sleep and excellent morning meal - great access to beach - really friendly and helpful staff.

The staff was superb and responsive to all requests. Breakfast was tasty with the selection of fruit, yogurt, granola, various types of bread, turnovers and multiple different egg dishes. Coffee and tea were available 24 hours a day. The room was a third floor walk up, which could be a problem for some, but was not for me. The building was close to the beach and the downtown area.

Greeted so nicely, property is very comfortable and clean and great location. Fresh cookies in the afternoon and lots of amenities!

The Inn was well kept and the innkeeper was very helpful. The room was spotless.

We booked this last minute as a better option than our originally planned Sea.Hear.Now hotel in Wall Twp, so we could just park and walk. We arrived early enough on the day before that we were able to get parking in front and left the car for the weekend. Cathy and Nancy were there to greet us and give us all the info we needed. We were in Room 19 on the top floor. I was a little nervous about booking as it is an older building and I usually like to know I can get out easily - well, the door opens right to the door to the stairs that take you down the outside of the house. The entire place is clean and the breakfast and coffee are wonderful. Cathy did let us know that she will be leaving in a few weeks to move out of state but that she is leaving the b&b in capable hands! The room itself was very very small but since we didn't spend much time in it, it was fine for us. The third floor rooms do require lots of stair climbing, so be prepared for that if you book one. From the bed in Room 19, if you open your curtains you can see the waves on the beach. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the shower was great. My only wish would be for more shelving in the bathroom for toiletries -- we had to mostly leave them out in the room and bring them in as needed. The walk to Asbury Park is not short but it's pleasant and doable. Ubers are quick if you prefer to go that route. We walked everywhere. Would definitely recommend this B&B!

Had an excellent stay overnight, was so comfortable and clean, all the staff were helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was Devine. The little outside area was cozy and it inviting. Would love to go back another time.

Love the church-camp feel, in particular around the Great Auditorium and the tabernacle and at the pavilion on the Boardwalk. The continuous Boardwalk from town to town is phenomenal! I've stayed at The Carriage House for many years and am happy that the new owners are maintaining its excellence. Breakfast was delicious and everyone was exceedingly friendly -- so homey! Very much appreciated the use of bikes, chairs, beach towels -- nice not to have to bring our own. Will definitely be back!
