Astoria Hotel

Our stay at the hotel felt like being at home. The staff were courteous and helpful. A good selection of Indian and continental breakfast was served everyday. The hotel is conveniently located close to Churchgat train station and a short distance from the buzzing Flora Fountain with a selection of good shops and street traders offering menswear and household goods. I enjoyed my stay hence already booked a few more days!👌😀

The staff were very nice, and the room was fine. A decent room for the price. The only flaw in our experience was that the hotel was not able to take a cash payment of 2000 rupees for a 1500 rupee meal, because they 'didn't have change'. This created a need for us to pay with credit card, which we didn't want to do. Otherwise, the food was outstanding at the restaurant, and the hotel was very nice. Great location near the terminus of one of the main subway lines, too!

Hotellet var ren, personallet var høflige og hjelpsomme, frokost var god. Hotellets beliggenhet var veldig sentralt. Men....det luktet ny maling på rommet som var kjempe ubehagelig. På dagtid var det total umulig å hvile grunnet arbeid på nabø rommet. Det var mye riving og mye støy, helt umulig å oppholde på rommet. Internett var ikke veldig raskt og av dårlig kvalitet.

Very old building but kept very clean inside. Limited breakfast compared to another hotel we stayed at in Mumbai this trip. Hotel staff very friendly, but the defective room safe was not fixed despite assurances by the front desk. No bar, but in a great location. Many reasonably priced cafes, restaurants, bars and shops with in a few minutes walk. Good for exploring the 'old' town with historic buildings, marine drive, beach, etc within 20mins walking distance or a short taxi ride away.

A very very clean hotel. Staff very friendly, flexible and helpful. Got to check in at 8am instead of 11am since the room was available. Breakfast was mostly Indian. Room was big and spacious. Lots of restaurant. A supermarket, Train station just next to the hotel.

The hotel was fine compared to other options in Mumbai, where good hotels are quite expensive. The staff was friendly and eager to solve our problems quickly. The room was clean, but the walls really need fresh paint. All fine so far. Unfortunately, due to a construction site right next to the hotel (Dec. 2017), the noise during the day was unbearable. It went on from 9am until the evening. Resting in the room during day time was just not possible. Quiet at night, though.
