High end property. Great restaurant on site.

Finest hotel in Rochester. clean and well managed. I will be back.

Service from hotel front desk was excellent. Service at the restaurant was acceptable but could have been better. Also, for one of the nicest suites on the property I hoped for better amenities such as maybe facial wipes or liquid soap rather than the standard bar soaps. We couldn’t even use the shower gel in the soaking tub since it was mounted tightly to the wall in the shower. We wish the kitchen would have included a microwave and silverware. And there were fruit flies in the kitchen. But overall a nice stay and a beautiful room.

Our credit card was charged a $15 fee after check in. When questioned they said it was for the “free drink” tickets they gave us. That really put a bad taste in my mouth - not cool Royal Park! They also charged a $20 parking fee which at least they were up front about- but we parked our own car and it wasn’t even under a garage.

The Royal Park is a beautifully appointed hotel. The staff was very nice, our room was lovely and food/drinks we had were very good as well. I stayed were once before and they did not disappoint.

I booked two rooms at the Royal Park Hotel to make my daughter and husband’s visit to Michigan special. Each room was over $500 for just one night, so I expected excellent service to match the high price. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. First, we were surprised by an additional $20 parking fee per car — an unnecessary charge on top of the already steep room rates. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, which was also highly priced. While the servers were kind and accommodating, the food was underwhelming. I had been told we would receive a dining credit, but when checking out, I was informed the credit only applies if you aren’t staying at the hotel. In other words: if you pay more, you get nothing back; if you pay less, you get a discount. That policy makes no sense. To make matters worse, at checkout we were hit with an additional $15 per room “amenities charge.” When I asked what this was for, I was told: Wi-Fi, AC, etc. I honestly had to laugh — isn’t that the absolute minimum one expects from any hotel stay? Should I expect a fee for breathing next time? For making the reservation itself? By that point, we just wanted to leave. I even forgot my phone charger in the room, but couldn’t bring myself to go back — I half expected there would be a charge for retrieving it. For the cost, this hotel should have provided quality service and value. Instead, it felt like every step of the way came with an extra fee, poor communication, and disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel, and I will not be returning.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel, especially with the restaurant waitstaff and chef. They went out of their way to make sure our dietary preferences were met and seemed enthusiastic about it. Our room was extremely clean and quiet. We will return in the future.

Outstanding experience beautiful remodel. I have one small complaint and that is now you’re charging for overnight self parking. Rochester is not lLA or NY😟 I also would like to suggest to remove the shampoo and soap bottles on the wall in the shower and go back to small personal bottles. I would expect this minimal amenity from the royal park. I would expect the bottles on the wall in the Holiday Inn and not the Royal Park

I have to agree with other recent reviews...this could be a 5-star hotel, but... $20 a day for parking is ridiculous in this location and $30 for valet. I stayed three days, but only saw a valet on duty once. The $15 daily amenities fee is absurd for 2 bottles of "free" water. The water pressure was amazingly bad. Just a trickle out of the bathroom sink faucet and the shower didn't have enough pressure to use the main showerhead; just the handheld. I ended up with a corner room which was lovely and quiet, excepting the slamming of doors in the hall. The room was clean and sizeable and the towels nice and plush, but the bed linens just average; thin and a little worn. I ate breakfast and lunch at the restaurant and found the service to be very friendly and efficient. The food was very good.
