Hotel Providence

Very well maintained oldie worldie building Staff could not do enough for us

Proximity to downtown and river views, clean and comfortable bed, nice bathroom

Providence downtown vibe is not happening on Monday night, Continental breakfast needs to be better, hotel is a little like a maze

Staff is so friendly, helpful, and kind. 2nd time staying here and fantastic both times.

The room was clean and comfortable.

The parking fee was a little too expensive.

Location, front desk staff, room lay out, nice view

Hot water need to wait for long time, pillow are old not comfy, bed are the soft ones not supportive, carpets are old. Water is not served in room or have place to fill water bottle

There were many things that are wrong with this hotel and I would caution any families planning to visit Providence and use this hotel. 1) When we reached the hotel, the hotel staff was rude, didn't provide any information about the hotel, for example where is the fitness room, wether hotel is closed or open. To our surprise, later when we called to order, we were informed that hotel is closed due to another function. We ended up ordering food from a late open place and when we asked the hotel for atleast providing us with the utensils the response was "they don't have any available right now, will be refilled in the morning". 2) The bathroom in our hotel was not clean at all, if you want to see picture, please go to Google and see the reviews (please see the poor reviews to see the pictures uploaded there). Also see other reviews by peole in January, 2026 and May, 2025 who have show how bad the hygiene is in this hotel. 3) Later after roaming through the hotel in wonder that why this hotel can possibly rated as 4 star hotel, I stumbled to a fitness room. And not to my suprise at that time the fitness room had BROKEN and UNSAFE machine. The back machine pull over one of the most injury prone excercise was broken with wires hanging out with no sign to indicate. I am glad I didn't use it otherwise would have been injured badly. No water bottles in the gym. When asked, was informed that it will also can be refilled in the morning. I also checked in the morning and in the afternoon, it was not refilled. 4) There was only one place where itw as WRITTEN please enjoy snacks and coffee. Guess what, there was no coffee nor snacks there. !!! WORST HOTEL EVER.
