Clayton Hotel & Members Club

The location was great for my trip.

The valet parking was $62 which was ridiculous. Also, the room did not have but 1 mirror above the sink. No full length one and no make up mirror. The bathroom had all of these bars in weird spots like behind the toilet!

We chose the Clayton as family members were staying there as well. We were delightfully pleased with all aspects of the premises. Food was excellent and service outstanding. The roof top venue was wonderful and the addition of the small pool was an attraction for our grandchildren while we enjoyed the City View’s.

LOVED my stay at Clayton Hotel & Members Club! It's the best spot in Cherry Creek, and Bar Amorina is a must. As a hotel guest you get access to the members club, which offers a restaurant, bar, and co-working space, which is the perfect spot to get work done during the day! The hotel also has a great fitness center, yoga room, and steam room. The rooftop is a great spot for brunch on Saturdays! I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

The WORST hotel experience of my life and I stay in them every other week! Excellent valet & bell service upon arrival by Daniel & Xavier. Delicious food at both anchor restaurants. Who in the world designed this hotel? The first room I was given had a sink as you enter the room…..and was TINY! Second room, much better but freezing upon arrival and a bathroom that makes no sense with fake drawers, towels kept in the toilet room rather than anywhere near the shower? The toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall by a screw hanging so low looks meant for a dog? Horrible coffee in the room, worse coffee delivered by “room service” in paper cups luke warm with no sugar or stirrers. Have had better eggs on airplanes, tasted fake. Inedible. It’s hard to describe that absolute lack of hospitality and customer service. -Pool nobody helps you, saw one couple ask for service and be told “we don’t really serve out here” but then proceeded to serve them while not asking us if we would like anything? -Charlie at the front desk was very kind and tried to help us sort out a mis-understanding with the room type that was booked. He deserves an A for effort. -Jason has no business being a “manager” I won’t bore you with the details, suffice to say we will never stay there again & share far and wide that this hotel needs a major upgrade. The rooms are terribly lacking in guest amenities, comfort and thoughtfulness and they need new management from the top down!

This is specifically a review on the members club. We toured looking for a club with an active social calendar and benefits. The tour was incredibly disorganized and the club has no perceivable value to members. They provided 0 instructions on parking or access, so we had to park in the garage down the street. Turns out members HAVE to park valet only for $10/day which is pretty ridiculous. They seemed to have completely forgotten about our tour despite us confirming it ourselves a week in advance and 24 hours ahead of time, so the membership person was very late. There was a corporate buy out that day, which was insane and so busy that the tour fell flat and we couldnt even see half the club space. They should have rescheduled our tour because it was directly during this very busy event and was shoulder to shoulder non members. (We booked our tour a week in advance and confirmed it ourselves) There was absolutely 0 benefit to being a member at this club. Everything in the club is accessible to hotel guests so it's far from exclusive. It's basically like if a hotel just rented out it's empty meeting rooms to random people all the time. The social calendar was severely lacking and they were entirely unwilling to disclose membership numbers, most likely because they have very few. The pool is comically small and there's no opportunities to meet any other members at this facility because it's diluted by hotel guests. If you want a coworking space, sure. This is a perfectly acceptable place to go. But if you want an actual social club? This is not the place. Edit to add after the property's response: We were actually only 10 minutes late AND informed them we would be late BEFORE our scheduled tour time via email and phone. This would not have changed whether or not we could view the property to its fullest because the event started 30 minutes prior to our scheduled time. We were also only late because of the lack of instructions provided around parking and access. Parking: every other club in the city provides free parking. DAC, DCC etc. This is the only club who charges for parking. Our tour guide provided exactly 0 information around social events. We were told we'd be provided a packet and a calendar after our tour, none of which was sent to us, nor was there any mention whatsoever of social events or a social calendar.

Excellent location, right across the street from the Cherry Creek Mall (best mall ever). The hotel is gorgeous overall, but I felt that the room was lacking compared to the shared spaces. I was underwhelmed by the amenities (tiny pool, decent gym). We didn't try the Michelin star restaurant, but the on-site breakfast was great. Service was also underwhelming - valet wasn't very friendly, and they forgot to clean our room (quickly resolved but still frustrating). For the price and the location, I expected more. I'd still recommend this hotel for the location alone, but there is better service / amenities elsewhere.

I absolutely LOVE this hotel and the staff in it. I come here monthly from LA for business and it's important to feel comfortable in a place where you visit frequently. The Clayton is by far and away the best hotel for comfort, accommodations and friendliness. The small, intimate and sophisticated atmosphere makes it feel like home every time I walk in. It's kind of like walking onto the set of Cheers! :). A big shout out to Tyler and Charlie at the front desk for always caring and making sure things are taken care of. You have got to stay here when in town...it's the best kept secret.

Clean, convenient great food!!!!!

It was a really nice hotel, the rooms are small but well appointed. Check in left something to be desired, and getting help in the bar took longer than you’d expect. But overall it was nice! We enjoyed our time here, the spaces are beautiful, and it’s quiet! Would definitely stay here again
