"Beautiful old building"

8.0

We stayed only two nights, and really enjoyed the details of the interior design and decoration. Additionally, as we were "stranded" on New Years Eve and Day (that part of Quito basically shuts down over the holidays), the staff was extremely helpful in locating a place for us to eat, and helping to make other arrangements. They had a New Years Eve celebration in the parking lot where they burned an effigy in typical Ecuadorian tradition. The bed was extremely comfortable, too! Finally - they had a special taxi available to both pick us up and take us to the airport, which was very convenient.

Staff at Eugenia were so friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a good location and it felt like quite a safe neighbourhood during the day. The breakfast was fabulous as well. I really enjoyed my stay here.

"Amazing place to stay!!"

10.0

Absolutely loved my stay here in Quito! The place made me feel extremely safe and secure in what can be seen as a somewhat dodgy city. The staff were welcoming and friendly and by South American standards the breakfast was extensive and delicious. Can’t recommend this place enough

"Exceptional"

10.0

The hotel was very clean as well staffed. Everyone was really friendly. The rooms were neat and clean. Breakfast in the morning was traditional Ecuadorian; fruit, eggs, toast, cereal, 2 fresh juices, potato of some kind, coffee, pancakes, etc. A really nice location next to many restaurants and nightclubs.

"Cute Boutique Hotel - Great breakfast, so-so amenities"

6.0

Stayed here as part of a tour group in April. Hotel staff were friendly and rooms were sufficient. The hot water did take a while to start, but did eventually come. Our in-room safe was broken, and there was no A/C but they provided a fan, though ours was broken - not a big deal and we didn't say anything, but these things should be checked before a guest checks in. The hotel locks up at night, so you have to buzz in to get access. We did enjoy the breakfast display - was probably the nicest/offered good variety of the 4 hotels we stayed at. Overall ok, but we preferred staying in the historical district of Quito. There were a couple of restaurants within walking distance, but we had to cab to a few attractions from this hotel.

"Definitely good, but not great."

6.0

Hello, my name is Rosa and I stayed in this hotel during mid-June. This hotel was recommended to us by G-adventures because of its proximity to the Plaza Foch and the old town, as well as countless positive reviews. Even though our experience was mostly good, there were a few details that ought to be reviewed. In the end, we decided not to complain with our agency because we enjoyed our stay for most of the time. As for what the hotel offers, you get an infrastructure who tries to recreate the spirit of the old town, I perceived a little Victorian touch as well, which I enjoyed. Also, because of its relatively short gate and its neighboring areas I'd wager it used to be a house before, which was very appealing to us because you sense an atmosphere of being at home instead of a fast-paced 5 star hotel environment. Once you are in your room you feel that old fashioned vibe as well because the rooms are decorated with old fashioned furniture, which is lovely. We felt that the bed sheets were a little too old and yellowy, but we didn't care because the cleaning ladies were very kind to us. WiFi was good and breakfast was nice as well, I wish I had some yogurt because of my diet, but we simply forgot about it because Ronald was unbelievably kind and helpful to us. The gentlemen at the front desk were very polite, professional and helpful. Especially Bryan, who really went out of his way to help us. The only "run-in" if you would, happened while we were talking with the lady at the front desk (her name was Cathy or Kelly), as we approached her to ask for directions on city attractions and souvenirs, not only did she refuse to help us but after we asked her if there was something wrong with us (she looked upset) she simply looked us down and then she continued doing whatever she was doing on the computer. Even though we considered her demeanor to be rude and inappropriate, we chose to believe that maybe she was dealing with a very difficult situation and so we decided to leave and just forget about it. Other than that, our experience was mostly good, but not great -- costumer service can definitely improve.

"Fab place, comfy beds and ok breakfast "

10.0

Stayed here altogether for 3 nights, beds were super comfy, complimentary water. Bathrooms were fine, and good for purpose. I had 3 different rooms as had a double one night , the next a twin this was my favourite, then another twin. Staff super helpful in organising taxis etc and also where to buy clothes as my luggage did not arrive. Breakfast was ok, juice, pastries, eggs, cereal and fruit. Missed my omelette thou. Would I stay here again definitely as it was a comfy stay, a great shawarma bar near by plus a mini mart.

"Comfortable 3 Night Stay"

8.0

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel (pre and post Galapagos Tour). The staff were very friendly and helpful and also spoke very good English. The rooms were cleaned daily and the hotel provided you with 1 small bottle of water in the room. There was a big supermarket down the road which took 5 minutes to walk to which was very handy. Plaza Fosch which is full of restaurants and bars was about a 15 minute walk away. The hotel was charming, I really liked the style of it. The plumbing was quite good but if you have a room facing the main road it can be quite noisy at night time. The breakfast was decent, it was included in the room price and was a buffet consisting of bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, bread, croissants, jam, fruit juice, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. I would definitely stay here again.

"Great Hotel"

10.0

Eugenia Hotel was a great place to stay in Quito. We had a late flight and they organised for someone to be waiting at the airport for us and stayed open late and were waiting when we arrived. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of hot water and good pressure. Wifi worked well in the rooms and there was a lift for luggage. Breakfast was included and had a nice variety. Close to Plaza Foch and restaurants and only a $3 taxi to the old town, which the front desk were happy to book. Would stay here again.
