Kandahar Lodge at Whitefish Mountain Resort

Location was excellent. Staff was even better!

Very unique lodge close to the ski resort that was very quiet. Loved all the wood work throughout the lodge. Breakfast was simple but nice.

Fitness center was jam packed with old and broken equipment. Very outdated and possibly even dangerous. Looked like a giant storage room of old equipment people got rid of out of their homes. Property is a little dated and could use some makeover.

The Staff was wonderful. They jumped right in and helped carry our bags upstairs to our room!! Never had service like that before! The lobby was so cozy with the fire going. Very relaxing.

Everything about Kandahar was perfect! The people, the room, the restaurant. It felt exactly as a mountain lodge should feel. I am already hoping to come back next year in the winter!

There was nothing that I did not like.

Wonderful, remote location. A quick drive to town, but away from it all. Convenient to have breakfast included. Several good options. Also nice to have a restaurant and a little pub onsite. Beautiful landscaping around the premises.

There’s no elevator and all the guest rooms are upstairs. We didn’t mind, but it would be difficult for someone with mobility issues.

The outdoor hot tub was a hit for our family especially after a long day of travelling, and there was a complimentary washer and dryer that the guests could use. The staff were extremely friendly and the whole lodge was clean.

Great staff. Ski in and ski out was a nice treat. Hot cocoa, popcorn and cookie “happy hour” was great. TJ the bartender at the onsite bar was charming.

No coffee maker in the room. I went to the front desk and said that I had a microwave and refrigerator and plates but no mugs or coffee maker and she said the general manager said hotels are now removing coffee makers because people don’t use them. I stay in hotels of all price points over 20 times a year for both skiing and business and have never not had a coffee maker! She said the could bring one up. Every high end hotel I have stayed in lately has a variety of coffees and tea in the room. At this price point, I would expect that.
