Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge Carlsbad

Well located, good breakfast value, clean room

All was well.

The room was large and comfortable especially the bed. Adequate plugs for my electronics. Breakfast was good especially the latte on the deck overlooking the ocean.

The bathroom was very dated especially the tub/shower. would have preferred a walk in shower. The sink faucet was loose. Would have preferred hard surface floorng instead of carpet. The room could use an update on colors and materials. 4 PM checkin is a major dislike.

Very clean, great location and incredibly friendly, warm staff. Super quiet too.

No heads up regarding extra fee for parking that is readily available on site. Gauging!

Great location right across from the beach within walking distance to shops and restaurants and Carlsbad Village. Nice breakfast included, and the staff was very friendly. I liked the separate dressing room from the toilet and shower area, that was nice. Nice common patio area that looks off to the ocean where you can sit and have your breakfast and coffee in the morning and see the sunset in the evening. Nice pool.

They don’t do daily room housekeeping, you need to call the front desk if you want your trash emptied or more bath towels. And the air conditioning in the room could’ve worked a little better. Would’ve liked a hot tub. No discount for handicap parking like some of the other hotels do.
