"Close to the beach"

Very close to the beach, friendly staff, free beach toys, chairs, and umbrellas to borrow. Good breakfast. Beautiful views.

High chair needed in the breakfast room. We had to hold our 12 month old as she tried to crawl all over the place while we ate breakfast.

"The fireplace in our room was such an unexpected pleasure!"

Standard fare. The staff member attending to guests coming in for breakfast was very helpful and kind.

I was surprised by the steps in the walkways. It was difficult to maneuver my suitcase from my room to the elevator.

"A Carlsbad gem"

It's hard to beat this view and the proximity to so many great restaurants and bars. Everyone was so friendly, and the woman who handles the daily breakfast is the best. So enjoyable!

Location, but there's a pretty major road between the hotel and beach, so it's not exactly beachfront as described.

Rooms are aged and smell bad. I'm accustomed to the mustiness of the beach hotels, but this was worse.
