Hotel Trident Poseidon

Stayed at Poseidon for a surf vacation with a friend of mine. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The staff was really helpful in setting up tours and directing us to other restaurants and shops in town. We ended up eating a lot of meals at the restaurant. Included breakfast is a big plate of fruit and a piece of breakfast loaf bread. They have a daily lunch special for $6. They have a dinner special from a select menu of $35/ 2 people which we found to be one of the best values in Jaco. WiFi works in the rooms. Only like a block in one direction to the beach, and a block in other direction from main drag in Jaco. Would definitely recommend.

It is centrally located right in the middle of Jaco and you can walk to the beach, so that's good. Place is really run down, though. Owners need to put some work into the place. Rotten wood, chipping paint, stained walls in the rooms. Pool is small and area needs maintenance. Bathrooms are WAY outdated. Hot water worked fine, though. Staff was friendly and helpful, however. They do the best with what they have. There is a nice sports bar on the third floor where you can watch American sports on Satellite.

Nice hotel close to the beach and a very good restaurant.

Great location, in the center of everything. 1/2 block from beach or strip. Nothing fancy but nice and clean hotel. Didn't eat at the restaurant other than the free breakfast, which is a nice selection of tropical fruits, juice and coffee. Perfect starting meal for the heat there.

One of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in .Property is completely run down and outdated and badly needs to be completely refurbished. .Drab room TV is 10+ years old with hard pillows and also very poor intermittent wi- fi. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

The map location of this hotel is incorrectly listed. Searching all over town for this hotel in the pouring rain was TOTALLY NOT COOL!<p> The actual location of the hotel is south east of the river on a side street at coordinates: 9.614816, -84.629350<p>The location is probably better than the one they show on the map. It is a very easy walk to the beach and probably all the shops and restaurants in the town, so I don't know why they would list it there.<P> As it is, there is a different hotel at that location and they offered me a room when I arrived. Had I not already paid for this booking, I probably woulda taken it.

Normal..ok experience do not recommend this for picky customers

Great services available with stay, some renovations underway, but staff made stay exceptional. Good food, atmosphere, location. WiFi was out and pool area under renovation, but not resulting in much inconvenience.

We booked the room without any prior knowledge of Jaco at all and crossed our fingers. We were very pleased with the stay. The rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable. The pool was so nice to have at the end of the day after our zipline trip or the day at the beach. There were 2 things that stood out for me, and the first was the friendliness of the staff. They were very knowledgeable and willing to help us book our outings, make recommendations and help us with transportation arrangements. The second thing for us was how good the food was at their restaurant. The continental breakfast is an entire dinner plate person of a variety of fresh fruit, a piece of sweet bread, and some baguettes with butter and jelly. This along with coffee, and juice were terrific. We also ate dinner there our first nigh because we were exhausted. We had the special for 2. The filet mignon was near the top of my list of best steaks I have ever had, and of course was cooked to the perfect temperature. Overall, good location, friendly staff, and good food!!!I would recommend this place.

Got a great room with a fantastic A/C. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. One block from the main strip.
