Beach Terrace

Amazing beach views, full length windows and balcony take full advantage of being right on the ocean. Staff and service are wonderful, very laid back and informal but service is quick, efficient and goes above and beyond (care package breakfast left outside my door when I had to leave at 4am for the airport!). Lovely place all round, wish I could have stayed longer!

I stayed in a room with a balcony directly on the beach. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent in-room coffee. Nice bathroom facilities. Everything was first class. Very close to the restaurants and shops of Carlsbad.

Breakfast was only adequate. Some interesting cold options and pastries but rather minimal. No warm food.

Super family friendly. The beach toys they provide and the hot water for sand rinse off make all the difference. Staff is friendly and they know the area. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Breakfast is easy and convenient.

The Beach Terrace Inn is my favorite place to take my family -- or just myself on a writing retreat! The staff is super-kind, the view is unparalleled and the rooms are so beautiful.

What a beautiful venue! From our horizon view room, to the breakfast, to the beach chairs and umbrella, the Beach Terrace Inn is a must stay if you are in the Carlsbad area. We absolutely loved our stay, and would come back in a heartbeat.

Great experience as always; clean spacious room, healthy breakfast choices, coffee maker of choice, comfy bed and bedding, had a horizon and partial beach view from the balcony. The loveseat on the balcony, assorted pillows, blankets, warm cover-ups, and thoughtful room arrangement is a plus. There was a small refrigerator and sink, plenty of tea, coffee, etc. I wouldn’t mind a small microwave to reheat things, but realize that may not be in tune with the atmosphere. The bathroom was also spacious with a private pottie room, and well appointed. Did have a few kids shouting down below me rather early in the morning; other than that, it’s great always hearing the sound of the waves. Being able to stream my own video content on the tv in the room was a nice addition since the last time I stayed here.

We usually stay in Oceanside and we are so glad we stayed at Beach Terrace Inn this visit. The highlights: - The room was incredibly spacious, well appointed, and clean - The view from the room was to die for, it's right on the beach/ocean. Fabulous sunset. - The comfy seating on the balcony let me curl up with a blanket and enjoy the view - It was a very quiet and private room - The staff and service were amazing - Lots of amenities including cozy firepits, bicycles to ride along the beach, and more This was a dream of a stay. We enjoyed Carlsbad Village, amazing lattes from Steady State Roasters, drinks on the Rooftop Bar next door in Oceanside, and the lovely shops in the area in addition to the lovely beach and pool at the hotel.

This is the perfect place to stay in Carlsbad! Everything is walking distance, perfectly peaceful and the views are heavenly!!
