Villablanca Garden Beach Hotel

Located 30 min walk from town. Best to rent a car. It is quiet. Nice location just across the street from the beach. Nice mature landscaping. Older building in decent shape. No safe in the room so we had to store our valuables in the lobby lockers for a fee. Also if you needed a beach or pool towel you had to rent them from the hotel. Be very careful in the bathroom not to fall in the awkward 2 ft deep pit for the shower, it is literally a hole in the ground, very bizarre. Really bad smell in the bathroom coming from most likely shower drainage pipes. If you left the door open it would smell up the whole room but if you kept the door shut it would solve the smell problem. So you must keep the door closed or the room will smell from the bathroom drainage pipes. Didn’t drink the shower water but the shower water has a slight salt taste to it. Probably coming from the water source the government provides and the water pipes most likely have a crack/s allowing ocean water to seep in. It’s Mexico so you never drink the tap water. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This could be an amazing property with a little tlc Many much needed updates including bedding,fixtures,all around maintenance.Restaurant would be outstanding if it were open..

The location is great, close to restaurants and across the street from the ocean

The beds weren’t comfortable for myself out my son, and the room we had didn’t have windows that opened up to let any light in. That wasn’t depicted in the pictures on booking.com and it made the room feel a little depressing

The location was wonderful. The resort is dated but rooms were large and comfortable. The staff were very polite and value was terrific. It was our stay at this place and we will stay next trip we take to Cozumel.

I wish the hot tub was heated. Also would have enjoyed having more bottles of water in the room.

Staff are friendly and terrific. The owner, Ada, lives onsite and is very available. Beautiful gardens well maintained. Nice addition this year of coffee and tea. I think it would be a great idea if a propane barbecue was set up near the vacant restaurant that guests could use for a small suggested fee (20 pesos per person per meal to cover costs) contributed via money jar which would create a fun social setting for guests.

A bit dated, and slow draining sink.

Room was very spacious.

No hot water, extremely humid and everything, even the bed, was damp. Shower curtain was very dirty. There is no restaurant or bar. The grounds were not well kept. This place is very tired looking. It needs to be renovated.
