A pretty unique experience, staying in an atmospheric 19th Century madrassa. Room was comfy. You can climb their minaret, 24/7.

The shower often didn’t work - all pressure just disappeared and it became a dribble. Staff very money-orientated (“slightly late check out? How much will you give us?”). It’s outside the Walled City, and even Yandex drivers didn’t seem able to find it!

Wonderful experience in Khiva at the Madrasah for three nights. Really good location a few steps from the East gate of old town. You feel immersed in the history of the place. The staff is exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was my favorite of all places. delicious home cooked breakfast. The rooms stay cool with good AC and…. at 102 outside, we were very comfortable and this is really important if you travel in June or later … the heat is real there. I enjoyed seating outside in the main courtyard and take it all in…. A place to go for sure

Staying at a XIX century Madrasah was one of the highlights of my visit to Khiva. This beautiful 19th-century hotel transports you to another era, allowing you to experience the charm, history, and atmosphere of old Central Asia in a very authentic way.. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the ancient walled city, making it easy to explore the historic heart of Khiva while enjoying a peaceful and unique setting. What made the experience even more special was the warmth and kindness of the owners and staff. They were genuinely welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help, making me feel more like a guest in their home than a customer in a hotel. If you are looking for more than just a place to sleep and want to immerse yourself in the history and spirit of Khiva, I highly recommend Una Madraza. A unique, charming, and memorable experience that I will always treasure. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

El edificio está un poco desgastado, añejo, cuarto de baño antiguo, escalera imposible para subir a la habitación con terraza. El desayuno, bastante endeble

La gentillesse du personnel, leurs attentions pour notre lune de miel (chambre surclasse avec balcon et terrasse) et lorsque je me suis blessée. Emplacement parfait juste à l'entrée de la vieille ville, petit déjeuner très bon ! Parfait pour une étape à Khiva!

A warm welcome, historical madrasa full of atmosphere, close to one of the old city gates. Very nice staff.

Amazing staff, beautiful rooms with central garden area and relaxing divans. It has its own minaret & wall walk. Great location - straight 10 minute walk from the station and less than 5 minutes from the East Gate of the old city. Would highly recommend
