The Beacon Inn continues to be our favourite place to stay whenever we visit Sidney & Victoria. It is beautifully decorated with antiques and tasteful Victorian decor. It’s on a quiet street that is close to the main Beacon Ave & the ocean walkway. The light breakfast that is provided in one’s room may also be supplemented by other treats in the lounge. The main level sitting & tea areas are also a bonus & the late afternoon complimentary sherry is a nice treat. The staff have limited hours & are always friendly and helpful. It’s also nice to have the keypad front door lock to come & go at any time.

"Loved Sidney but breakfast did not live up to Decor of the place; very cheaply done."

Location and building very nice.

This property would be good for retired guests. It is clean and comfortable, but there is nothing around it that is interesting. There are some cute cafe's nearby and he waterfront is not far, but the area seems to be predominantly retirees.

The property needs a facelift. Somewhat old and dark. Huge tub is a waste of space. The breakfast - don't even bother. Frozen grocery store muffins delivered to your door the night before in a dollar store plastic caddy. Sad when there are so many lovely bakeries and cafes close by. And the cereal dispensers in the hallway are just....odd.
