The Beacon Inn at Sidney

A quaint inn, on a quiet street walkable to the Main Street conveniences

Beacon Inn is very conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Sydney and the wharf. The building is attractive and has character. Room included a fireplace, 4-poster bed and oversized tub. Only suggestion is that the breakfast included be served in the very nice downstairs sitting room rather than in room. Adding a European style coffee machine would be amazing too.

Good variety

It has a great feel about it and the staff were very courteous and friendly. The location is perfect for walking about to explore the quaint town of Sidney by the Sea.

Beautiful small boutique hotel in the heart of the city. Room was large with a comfortable bed, attached bathroom and fireplace. Breakfast was put in a small fridge in my room for the next morning. I found the front desk situation odd though. No one at the desk before 10 am or after 8 pm. Tried calling at 9:30 am to ask how to check out but no one answered. Guests are responsible for making sure the front door was locked when desk person not there, slightly discomforting.

The rooms were rather small and crowded. There was not a table in the room to eat breakfast.

It was lovely. Booked last minute and it was a great choice. So so comfy and the after hours check in and out was painless and quick. We will be back!

Very spacious and elegant rooms, plus in good central location.

We’ve stayed here many times over the years, but really noticed this time that the mattress seems quite worn out & lumpy, plus the pillows were pretty much flat as pancakes - time to upgrade? Unfortunately the ‘breakfast’ is rather sparse too compared to other places like this. Perhaps bring back the hot breakfast you used to have??

The bed was very comfortable and we liked that thy up grade our room to a little bigger room. It was nice and clean. The staff is friendly.

They don't have sun block out curtains. The breakfast was not what was advertised on the internet.
