Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort

We had a lovely stay at this beach hotel in Mombasa. The hotel has beautiful scenery and a very relaxing atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind. We stayed in a cottage which was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with air conditioning, making our stay very pleasant. The hotel also has direct beach access and a sizable swimming pool, both of which we really enjoyed. One of the highlights of our stay was the jungle dinner experience. Although we did not dine at the hotel that particular night and only went for drinks, the atmosphere was wonderful and made for a memorable evening. The food at the restaurant, including breakfast, was okay overall, though we feel the menu could be improved by regularly including more Swahili dishes for guests to enjoy local cuisine. The staff members were alright and helpful when needed, and overall, we loved the atmosphere of the hotel. Considering the experience, facilities, and location, it offered very good value for money. We would happily visit again.

Would have loved a few Swahili dishes on your buffet dinner and breakfast. The Swahili Mahamri would be better than the heavily stuffed and oily doughnut. We took one and cut it, which, just looking at it, was a no-no

The reception staff, waiting Staff, cleaners who are very kind and polite, and especially the animation team every evening ( Mary, James, Thomas and Juma) made us end our nights on a high note every day from 8.30pm through their greatly engaging choreographed dances. Functional AC which is an absolute necessity in the Diani heat. The Beachfront location.

The Pillows were a bit hard for me. I had to improvise and use the decorative softer ones.

Great beach, bar, food.

Room wasn’t good. Was dump and with mold.
