Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl

We greatly enjoyed our stay in Garmisch. The hotel was almost empty because of the season. They still put us in one of the least desirable rooms.

Spacious rooms, great location at the foot of the Kramer mountain. Very friendly staff. Lobby and seating area are inviting, nice bar. The main drawback was that the traffic noise is quite audible in the front rooms.

This hotel was worked for us because we were pirmarily there to paraglide and explore the area. The staff was pleasant and helpful. This hotel was nice but a little run down in the rooms but expected for the age of the bulding. I no wifi in the rooms only in the lobby.

WE LOVED IT! Waking up in the morning, walking out on the balcony after breakfast and listening to the sweet clang of the cowbells was magical. The breakfast buffet is always plentiful and fresh. The rooms are spacious and quiet. Be careful not to trip over the marble thresholds between rooms in the suites - that could take a little getting used to. Parking is perfect - you just drive up to the hotel. The indoor swimming pool is a nice extra although we didn't take advantage of this amenity. There simply isn't anywhere with a better view or location in Garmisch. It's a comfortable place and well worth the price.

Not close enough to town to walk...breakfast should be included for the price paid...not even coffee availabe without purchasing it.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel in beautiful Garmisch-Partinkirchen. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke english very well. There was wi-fi in every room. The breakfast buffet was delicous, but a little pricy. The hotel has a beautiful view of the mountains and surrounding valley, but is a short distance from the town center.

Nice hotel, would highly recommend!

Staff was very, very helpful in providing directions to areas of interest.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The furnishings are a bit dated but the rooms are clean and spacious. The "family room" is actually two individual rooms. The might not be ideal for a family but it was perfect for adults.

Excelent service from the reception, he was very helpfull in our stay!!
