"Excellent Location"

My stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. The location, helpfulness of the staff, quality of food, and access to excellent walking paths made for a memorable experience. My only problem was a toilet issue the last evening, otherwise everything worked well. I would highly recommend this hotel for other guests.

"amazing hotel"

This hotel is beautiful! The staff is polite and very helpful. We stayed in another hotel in the same town for twice the money and this hotel is soooo much better! We will stay in this hotel again and again! Love the atmosphere!

"not worth the money"

hotel was easy to find. breakfast was 16.50 euro a person, suppose to be included when the room was paid for. staff did not care we already paid for breakfast, breakfast not worth the money, do not pay for it ! not a 4 star hotel, more like like 3, not worth the money. balcony door leaked, it was raining and the floor was wet. halls smelled like mold.

"Excellent dinner"

Our stay in the hotel was a nice experience overall, service was impeccable, premises very well taken care of, staff was professional and helpful and we were taken care of very well ! Dinner was excellent, one of the best dinners we had in our journey to Germany and Austria.

"Garmisch!"

Great place to stay! a 7 Euro cab to down town. but it was 15 Euros for breakfast!!!!!!! Blah. Over I would stay again!

"Not a four star!"

Older hotel in need of maintanance. Thread bare carpets, spooky hallways. Get something closer to the nice little town.

"Great retreat in Garmisch"

We enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and the hotel was charming. The staff was friendly and all spoke English. The location of the hotel was great. It is right off the main road and close to town. The breakfast was a little pricey, but it was convenient.

Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl is a resort type hotel. It has great facilities and staff are very helpful. We had an enjoyable dinner there as well as breakfast. The hotel is about half a mile from Garmisch-Partenkirchen which is a nice small tourist town. The hotel is very convenient to visit sites in German/ Austrian Alpine region

"A great getaway"

Our stay at this hotel was nothing but positive.The room rates were reasonable and the hotel staff was friendly ,knowledgeable,and very helpful.The buffet breakfast was reasonably priced and well worth it.Coming into Garmisch you can't miss it and it's such a gorgeous building. You are given free transportation passes for anywhere in the Garmisch area.Garnisch has a great central city and you are with in one hours drive of some of the most spectacular scenery in Bavaria.Thumbs up for the Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl.
