Hilton Barbados Resort

Beautiful beach with a clear majestic view of the sunset. The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional. I had a Seaview room with a balcony that was calm. The mattress and pillows got me in a deep, restful sleep!

I had complained about an extremely greasy burger at the beach bar. The staff understood my issue and promised to take my concerns moving forward. Hopefully that will happen. I didn't have any other concerns while I was there.

The location is good.

I had a very disappointing stay, especially given this was a Hilton property. We had paid for Seaview rooms but were given rooms on the first floor with views of trees, and below our balconies were large generators/fans creating constant noise. This was far from the experience advertised. We were travelling as a family of four and asked for rooms near each other. Initially, the receptionist told us the best she could do was place us in the same building, which seemed unnecessarily unhelpful. After some back and forth, she did in fact put us next to each other on the same floor – which made me feel the resistance at the beginning was needless. The building itself looks extremely dated. The photos online must have been taken when the property first opened, because very little maintenance has been done since. The reality does not match the impression given online, and it was a real letdown. On top of that, part of the hotel was rented out to a school during our stay. While I appreciate Hilton supporting the local community, it meant lots of children running around, creating a noisy environment – not what you want when you’ve booked a holiday to relax. Overall, the property did not live up to the Hilton standard in terms of service, upkeep, or the advertised experience. We did not complete our stay here and checked out early.

Rooms are dated and need thorough cleaning, carpet smelled so bad, shower had soap scum and mold. The bathroom is falling apart, towel railings loose. Carpet in the hallways is filthy. Staff are very friendly and location of hotel is nice and central. Views from the room were beautiful.

The Hilton standard of service was maintained and as a Hilton Honors member, I was offered an early check in and a late check out - both were highly appreciated.
