As a building it was stunning

The pool was in shade and therefore too cold to use. We couldn’t find details of the spa. We thought the food at dinner was poor

I recently stayed at The Raj Palace in Jaipur for two nights, and it was a stay of contrasts. The hotel's architecture and location are undeniably beautiful, providing a serene and tranquil environment. It felt like an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, ideal for relaxation. One of the highlights was the pool area, nestled in a quaint courtyard offering a high level of privacy. This made it a perfect spot for spending quality time as a couple. However, the spa experience was somewhat underwhelming. While it was functional, it didn't meet the expectations of a world-class facility, especially with the steam room not working properly. The staff at The Raj Palace were friendly and welcoming, contributing to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Despite their kindness, there were noticeable delays in service, and on occasion, errors in fulfilling our requests and orders, which did impact our experience. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a visually opulent experience, yet the culinary offerings did not quite match up to some of the best dining experiences available in Jaipur. This was a bit of a letdown, considering the grandeur of the setting. In conclusion, while I enjoyed many aspects of The Raj Palace and its serene ambiance, the issues with service and the spa, as well as the underwhelming culinary experience, make me consider other options for my next visit to Jaipur, such as Samode Haveli. The Raj Palace has the potential for excellence, but there are areas that need improvement to fully match its luxurious promise. Rating: 3.5/5

Real 300 years old palace Very helpful staff

I’ve received a room in which was some noise disturbing my sleep. After asking staff they decided to change my room. But they gave me old and lower standard room. It wasn’t 5 stars experience. Had one night in this room and got another room - same as first one but without the noise. It was annoying to change rooms 2 times in 3 nights. I think they should renovate this hotel and make it really luxurious experience. Now it’s overpriced for this quality. Although staff is trying to make it right :)
