I loved how clean and spacious the room was. Very quiet too.

Maybe a coffee table or side tables next to the lounge so you have somewhere to put your coffee.

Maryborough is a good staging point when traveling down from the north on the way to Brisbane

Location of the hotel itself was fairly close to Maryborough Showgrounds, which was reasonably convenient for the trips back and forth for the long days that we worked there.

A little bit of a strange layout of the hotel, having to drive around the back of the complex and down a dark lane way at night wasn't ideal. The room was also upstairs, making it extra work lugging everything up and down. I should have checked that beforehand, as we really need ground floor for busy work trips. Parking wasn't ideal, very tight, narrow and only one way, making it very easy to get boxed in and unable to turn around. Each night other guests had taken our spot to park. Parking area was pitch black after 9pm or so, which wasn't ideal for vision. If you needed to go down the stairs to the car for any reason, however when we called the office after the first night, they did accommodate us by leaving lights on a bit longer. Have not really experienced that before, as usually there is some kind of light, so you can see in the parking area, particularly when stairs are involved. To be honest the whole rear area where our room was, felt a little bit creepy after dark, specially for women travelling on their own. The mattress was quite hard/firm so not a great sleep either, which takes a toll after working 10 hours per day!!!

Terrible parking was not informed of parking or that would be around back and down a lane with tight fit. I prefer to book via phone old school .you can find out more shower head kept moving not good for tall people

Definitely not 4 star. Dilapidated furhiture, scalding hot water very dangerous, no plug for wash basin office still closed by 8:39am
