Blue Shades Motel

Rooms were nice, very clean, loved the bonus water and cookies. Good location for our needs. Bed was nice and comfortable. Bathroom facilities were good. Products were lovely

Asked to check in early as we were going to a funeral and wanted to get changed. we were told that it would cost us an extra $50. This was disappointing, as our family had checked in early to other motels and never got charged this fee. I'm sure that by 12pm, a room may have already been cleaned and available. You pay a big enough rate for not even staying a whole 24 hours the first day. The other thing was there was no hair blow dryer in the room. These days I have never been to a motel that doesn't have one included.

Rooms are not smoke-free. On arrival, the room smelled heavily of smoke. Contacting the motel is impossible—I tried calling both numbers (4122 2777 and 0499 192 441), but got no response; the voicemail inbox is full, so no message can be left. The Facebook page number links to a "relief manager" from 4 years ago. The rooms are not clean, and the walls are paper-thin, so you'll hear all noises from other guests and traffic. Do yourself a favor: just avoid.

The location was perfect and accommodating. Nice and quiet area. Slept amazing.
