The Royal Hotel Hull

Hotel room was small & basic, you get what you pay for. Hotel has a mix of clientele, unfortunately some feel fit to keep shouting & slamming doors till the early hours so not such a good nights sleep. I've had better breakfast in budget hotels

I had a single room for a one night stay. The room was barely bigger than the bed, so it was on the snug side. That said it was clean, the bathroom was very good and there was plenty of tea, coffee and milk, so whilst basic it was fine for one night. I wanted cheap, not the Ritz, so it was fine. Breakfast was a serve yourself hot buffet with all the usual bacon, sausages etc. So no complaints there. Will I use the hotel again? Certainly, but if I was staying longer, I'd go for a bigger room.

Comfortable room, decor was appropriate for the style and period of hotel. Decent shower. Would stay there again. Handy location.

Closeness to central Hull and the railway station.

Easy check in, friendly staff, excellent price. Had a meal in restaurant too, good quality good price.

Very pleasantly surprised. The reasonably priced club room I was given was clean, cosy and warm, which was important for a stay in January. It was very quiet. Private bathroom was excellent with a good shower, hot with plenty of pressure Staff were helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the whole Edwardian ambience of the place, a bit like being on the film set for the Titanic. Great fun, and no complaints at all. would stay again.

Was Kept up all night with the room next door having a party call room service who told them to turn their music down then the 4 of them were running up and down the corridors shouting lets have it complained to the Manager in the morning but i still had to pay my bill even tho i had no sleep. I have used this hotel before but this experience has put me off of using them again
