The Royal Hotel Hull

Breakfast was an awful experience. Staff miserable and we had to ask for tea and coffee. The place was full of people who had no manners. Picking bread up with their fingers, not using plates and walking across to the tables eating said food. Saw one man drink a glass of juice and leave the dirty glass on the serving table. I asked a waitress who all these people were and she said they are just staying there a while! No idea what that means. The staff need some serious training in customer service and a smile or two wouldn’t go a miss. Room was clean but breakfast experience means we won’t be returning. P.S stayed here numerous times over the years

Time this place got a refurb. Rooms are very tired and many fittings (showers, lights etc) are broken. It cheap to stay for a reason but even the cheap price is looking high now!

Not enough pressure in shower. Tap was rusty And to top it all bed was small. Booked for a double room got a small double bed

Nice lounge, some staff friendly. Parking charge - £8 a day. Good breakfast. Central and convenient location.

Good service and the room was clean BUT my word, does the hotel need a refurb! very dated and many things in poor condition.

Great old building a bit dated but good

This hotel is very convenient for rail passengers. the room was spacious, clean and the restaurant food level was great.

Great stay, lovelly breakfast only downside noisy guests in early hours of morning and room very warm
