Hotel and staff were excellent. As I said staff were so very attentive and nothing was a bother for them in any way. Couldnt have been nicer. Clean and always attended to our room on a daily basis when we were away. Wine very expensive per glass though. Its a small complaint really - but important - food at breakfast wasnt covered and flies on many things on the table. Meats and cheeses were covered but nothing else. Did like the idea of ordering at the table for items on the menu though that were then cooked fresh. Menu for breakfast was very varied .

What a beautiful place and hotel clean quiet stylish for the isle of man. I will certainly return accomodating staff and super safe.

Refused to give a VAT invoice. Applied the stay and will not recommend to colleagues or fellow business traveler's.

This is the 2nd year we have been here x And both times have been excellent. Breakfast lovely rooms clean staff lovely .

Location is walkable to ferry (to Liverpool), the steam train to Port Erin, the horse tram to the electric train to Laxey

Small shower cubicle , lost to find the room , not easy to find, nowhere to hang your clothes in the bathroom, didnt have hot water first night , cold water then turn to hot in the morning which is wanted I needed the night before, seagulls very loud noises from 3.30 am til 4.45am, woke me up 3 times , breakfast was good and on time , staff were very polite and professional, thank. you

Very hot room, no air con,only a fan or open window to cool it down, with seagulls and revellers making sure the open window was a bad idea. The double bed was tiny, and uncomfortable. The bar was shut by midnight, despite ten people being in there wanting service, on a Saturday night. It would have been quite nice, given that all the other pubs in the vicinity were rowdy. Overall, very disappointing, considering it is supposed to be 4 star.

Right in the middle of Douglas so handy for M&S and bus station. Very good breakfast. Lots of noisy seagulls all day and night, though, so hard to sleep with windows open. Many stairs to get to rooms so not suitable for limited mobility or lots of luggage. There is a lift but it doesn't really help.
