Wonderful stay in Douglas. The staff were amazing and helpful and very accommodating. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable and the evening turn down service, including chocolates and weather informatio was a bonus.

Lovely older hotel - lotsa stairs to some of the rooms but not an issue for us. Very nice rooms, comfortable bed, great hotel staff. Great breakfast, great location close to shopping, train and bus, and ferry terminal. Great breakfast and nice restaurant overall.

The overall experience at the hotel was great. However, it was let down by one particular member of staff serving breakfast. She was unhelpful, surly, and appeared ‘ inconvenienced’ when asked for simple service. She let down the professionalism and kindness of all other members of staff. I received a free upgrade to a sea facing room. The room was clean, well laid out and fitted. Check in and out was seamless. I would definitely recommend a stay.

Great stay over the last 2 days. The Claremont fully deserves it's 4 stars. Rooms are big and have lots of small touches you don't get in a lot of hotels today. Great views and the staff were all pleasant and welcoming. It is well situated on the front in Douglas. Parking is a nightmare but this is common to Douglas and is not the fault of the Claremont. Would we stay there again absolutely.

"Mediocre "

Room extremely hot, no air conditioning. The rest of the hotel seemed cool but our room was uncomfortably hot for two days. No fridge or robes as was described in listing. Windows didn’t open to allow any meaningful ventilation. Breakfast was mediocre, warm juice eclectic fruit platter. Room dark with views only of walls.
