The staff

The room smelled strongly of sewage, and from time to time the odor became extremely intense. This continued throughout the night, making it impossible to sleep because of the smell. We were told that breakfast started at 7:00 AM on weekends. We went at 7:06 AM, but there was no one there. Our trip was at 8:10 AM, so the time we had available for breakfast was limited. In the end, we left without eating.

The location was amazing. Very comfortable and very quiet even though we were in the middle of the busy area. Staff were wonderful. A fridge would have been awesome, but none of the rooms have this facility.

The location of the hotel is right at the old port, which is a great base for exploring Marseille. The hotel staff were great, so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with all mod cons. The hotel is side on to the port, so don't expect a full on port view, but it was enough!

The location

The room I had a musty smell, musty smell throughout the building. Had to climb into the bath to shower, no hand rails! The bed was like sleeping on a slab of cement it was so hard. The pillows were not comfortable. I booked based on photos the photos showed a walk in shower. The breakfast was very average. The condiment jars had crusty dried bits around the edges, not appealing. The room for breakfast had a beautiful glass dome that needs a good clean. I realise this is only 3 stars but there should be a level of pride. The bed wasn’t made properly!!
