Global Luxury Suites at Georgetown

A good location, better than the concrete blocks of Downtown DC, quiet, clean and comfortable, not unexpected as we have used Sonder in Nashville, Austin and New Orleans. I have to say it could do with a little TLC and updating but that would not stop me using again or recommending.

I’d been sent the door codes (didn’t need to use to access the building as outer door was open, thankfully as it turned out) 24 hours previously and entered them using the keypad outside the apartment, nothing, long story short, we messed on for about for an hour on webchat (and the girl who was supposed to be on the front desk eventually turned up around 45 mins later. Apparently I had to pay a refundable security fee before access was allowed and on checking, I’d received an email, at 6pm that night about this, I still can’t fathom why I was sent codes BEFORE paying that and who reads emails on arriving on holiday? Not the best way to start your first night after an 18 hour travel. By then it was 8.45pm, our first night almost ruined. It was disappointing and VERY frustrating.

Le réceptionniste mou et incompétent dont j'ignore le nom Prévoir des parapluies ou des ponchos pour les prêter aux clients Prévoir béquilles ou cannes pour prêter en cas de problèmes de jambes ou de pieds (avons été confrontés hélas à ce problème)

Not cheap but great location and great rooms. Clean, large, and feels fancy. Also clean and relatively cheap laundry facilities on every other floor which was very useful.

Construction going on near facility at the moment so super loud during weekdays. Not necessarily hotel's fault but an issue nonetheless. They do provide earplugs.

Le logement proposé est spacieux et permet de passer un séjour agréable avec toutes les commodités recherchées. De plus le rapport qualité / prix est très correct pour une ville de l'envergure de Washington. Le personnel est très accueillant.

Rien, tout était dans nos attentes.

Climatisation bruyante. J’avais réservé l’appartement pour mes parents qui rêvaient depuis longtemps de visiter Washington. L’expérience aurait été totalement réussie pour eux, si ils n’avaient pas dû faire face à l’employée de l’accueil à leur arrivée. Ils étaient fatigués du voyage et ils lui ont simplement demandé où se situait l’appartement réservé (et déjà payé.)L’employée a refusé pendant longtemps de leur répondre car je n’étais pas avec eux et que comme c’était moi qui avait fait la réservation il fallait que je sois présente…. Alors même que c’était précisé sur le voucher Booking que c’était bien une réservation pour ma mère avec son nom.. Il a fallu que mes parents m’appellent (au milieu de la nuit pour moi en France) et l’employée voulait que j’appelle le service client de Sonder (2 tentatives avec frais de téléphone à l’étranger, et mise en attente interminable qui ont fait que j’ai arrêté l’appel avant d’avoir quelqu’un). La situation s’est finalement débloquée quand l’employée a vu que c’était bien le nom de ma mère sur le voucher Booking. Mais cela a été une grosse source de stress, inutile, pour mes parents qui voyageaient pour la première fois ensemble aux États Unis. Ce n’est pas une façon de traiter des clients.

Refrigarator and AC was quite loud during night Generally, staff was missing since the code suddenly didn't work for one night

The property is nicely located and staff pleasant.

I was charged a deposit of USD 150 upon arrival on 31/08 and CHARGED AGAIN USD 150 on check out day. 6 days later I am still not reimbursed the 2 deposits when I left the apartment in a clean state.
