We were booked into a Lakeview room but on inspection, it was totally misrepresented by Booking.com photos and list of equipment. For example, there was no microwave. I complained to management who to their great credit, immediately upgraded us to a Lakeview suite. This was excellent, a very spacious layout over two levels, with two verandas overlooking the lake. Stunning. However, the room was quite battered, the kitchen drawers were all damaged, walls were damaged and in need of a paint. The kitchen also lacked equipment, only 2 knives and forks and limited china. But it did have gas hot plates, oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, toaster, dishwasher and refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable. Cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds of the resort are absolutely gorgeous and one can walk for kilometres in perfect safe surroundings.

The suite was a bit tired, particularly the bathroom, but otherwise, a beautiful base to explore Christchurch.

It would be nice if there’s a swimming pool and spa.

It was quiet and comfortable.

The basin in the bathroom. The tap is too close to the bottom of the basin and you could hardly get your hands in there to wash it, when you turned the water on it splashed everywhere. Bad design or choice.
