After driving 12 hours … we were excited to relax at the pool that was under repair and no where in the web site it alert us very disappointed and the cleanliness wasn’t the best !! There’s many choices in Amarillo and I made the worst decision
Pool was close , some areas need cleaning .. we arrived late around 12:00midnight so maybe that’s why idk. Other than that good and big rooms for family of 6.
We booked this hotel for the pool advertised but it was closed for renovations. That should be updated so people know. There were fake eyelashes stuck to the head board and hair on the sheets and they yelled of perfume. This room was not very clean and definitely not good for my wife with allergies.
All and all a good stay. Room was big and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The gym is nice. However when I got there to check in since I am from the same town I had to pay 100.00 cash deposit not on my credit card but had to go get cash and had to leave to go find a atm to withdraw. They said it was hotel policy and I went back into the hotel details and it didn’t specify having to pay cash. Don’t quite understand this policy but I guess they have their reasons. I did get that cash deposit back when checking out. Also the indoor pool and hot tub were not in service which was why I picked this hotel was for the indoor pool and hot tub. I mean other then that I liked my stay.
We have some issues when checking in, we arrived 2 hours after the time expected for the check in and the computer was not working for to check us in, we had to wait but they call us soon. The exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn’t work, and the tub doesn’t hold water. And the hot tub /pool were out of service. The mattress was wearen out but was comfortable. The shower was hot whenever we needed. The breakfast was good and complete. The room service was good too. The staff was nice. The price was competitive.
Overall a good stay, place was very clean everywhere I saw. Breakfast was a good selection of coffee, juice, yogurt, cereal, waffles, and hot food items like scrambled eggs, biscuits and a meat. Indoor pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance, I would have maybe used. First floor elevator button was broken-so couldn't call it down to the first floor, with a sign stating such and you could ask staff to go bring it down for you or you could use the stairs. Presumably hasn't been broken long and will get fixed soon. Inside the room was pretty quiet, could here some muffled noises from people passing in hallway. I got concerned when a high school sports team of some sort (not football) stayed overnight, but they were fairly respectful with their noise and inside the room in my bed i never heard them. Front desk ladies were friendly and helpful when needed for small things.
The breakfast was good.
The elevator is broke and you have to carry the bags up stairs.
It was a great price
Our stay here was quiet, breakfast was good and staff was pleasant. Our only negatives were small; the toilet seat was off when we arrived, the bathtub plug did not plug sufficiently to hold water and the door number plate was missing. All together, we had a comfortable stay and would stay again.
