Villa Matildis

Our host Roberto was amazing, knowledgeable and helpful.

We enjoyed very much the stay at Vila Matildis. We liked the vibes of the countryside and the wonderful breakfast prepared by the great host Roberto. Overall atmosphere of the Vila, garden and Modena surrounding sets a perfect holiday mood. Roberto is a great host!

Can not think of any negative points.

Villa Matildis ist eine wunderschöne alte Villa mit wenigen Zimmern. Das Haus, der Garten, die Zimmer und der Service sind wirklich wunderbar. Alles ist sauber und gepflegt und der Vermieter ist ein italienisches Original mit ganz viel Herz und unglaublich freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und ser verwöhnt. Wir kommen wieder.

Da gibt's nichts was uns nicht gefallen hat.

Villa Matildis è un gioiello a due passi da Modena, un'oasi di pace e serenità a 15 minuti di macchina dalla città in tranquilla zona residenziale. Posteggio comodo sulla strada. Ogni dettaglio della villa è curato e funzionale, incluso il giardino che è una vera meraviglia. La pulizia è impeccabile e le stanze spaziose e ben arredate. Il letto comodo, l'armadio spazioso, il bagno equipaggiato con tutto quello che serve (ciabatte, asciugacapelli, sapone, asciugamani, accappatoio). Ma quello che rende speciale Villa Matildis è soprattutto il suo proprietario. Grazie al Signor Roberto il nostro soggiorno è stato perfetto, mai abbiamo trovato un'accoglienza tanto attenta, gentile e premurosa. Sempre pronto a dare suggerimenti utili, raccontare aneddoti curiosi, e dare spiegazioni sulla villa e le tradizioni locali, Roberto ha un'attenzione per l'ospite che raramente abbiamo trovato altrove, e che nasce da una passione genuina per quello che fa. Una chicca la colazione, che vale assolutamente il prezzo, ricca di prodotti freschi e tipici della zona, da leccarsi i baffi! Consigliamo a tutti vivamente Villa Matildis!

Personale è gentilissimo, le camere sono belle spaziose, arredate con grande attenzione e stile , colazione era squisita , consiglio sicuramente!

The owners were extremely friendly and accommodative.  The room and bathroom were spacious albeit both quite dated, as was the decoration.  Breakfast was also satisfactory.  As a general comment, a fresh, modern approach would be of great benefit.

The value for money did not make sense to us.

Wonderful villa and garden.

Our room (in the cellar of the villa) was not in line with the standards I would expect for the price, especially in knowledge it is completely out of the city.
