Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast options were good and nicely cooked. The room, though a little small was comfortable. The location next to the train station was perfect for us, as we used the trains every day. There are more attractive parts of Swansea to stay in for sure, but being in the vicinity of the station and restaurants for evening meals was more important for us on this occasion.

I didn't appreciate being told on the day of arrival that the lift was out of order. Luckily, I only had to lug my suitcase up to the 3rd floor via the stairs once! The hotel must've known in advance that the lift was not working and should have informed me earlier. To be fair, they did offer to help with bags on check-in, however. There seemed to be a problem with a new batch of key cards the hotel was using, as they kept having to be reprogrammed, with some not working at all. Also, on my last evening, the battery power failed on my door lock so I had to be escorted by hotel staff for the remainder of my stay to be let back into my room! Which makes me question how effective are the hotel's maintenance procedures...
