The lift was not working

nice rooms with air con which I really appreciate the beds are quite comfortable not amazing but good enough the rooms are always clean the location is really good being opposite the train station and with a public car park right next door there is a restaurant on site and a lift although sometimes the lift doesnt work

There are sometimes no staff around to ask for assistance The breakfast is a bit pretentious the toast comes out with no butter on it and is cold so if you try and butter it yourself the butter doesnt go anywhere as its that rock hard sourdough bread. They also dont give you enough butter to cover the entire surface of the toast which is really frustrating because trying to eat dry cold sourdough toast is not a pleasant experience. The fried egg was borderline undercooked and for reasons known only to the chef, the cooked breakfast comes covered in peashoots which is really not what you want first thing in the morning. Its also served on a roof tile which is very annoying. There is a really good greasy spoon cafe just up the road which is much better for breakfast.

Front desk staff excellent. Bartender/waiter Matt and food was wonderful Perfect location across from train station. Don’t miss a walk down Wine street with the pubs

The hotel had a strange smell in it very chemical smell. The room had a musty smell which was probably due to the fact that the two windows in the room had no opening to them. There was no way to air the room out
