Palace Hotel Port Townsend

Adorable space and convenient for all that Port Townsend has to offer. Friendly staff.

Renovated or modernized historic hotels can sometimes have a bit of a mold smell with questionable bathroom cleanliness while The Palace is not like that at all. Beautifully clean throughout. Extras include a wonderful staff, high 1800's ceilings and stained-glass windowpanes here and there. Winning location. Free parking, fast free wi-fi. We will return. Highly recommend.

We have stayed here over a dozen times or more since our honeymoon in 1984 and it is always great to return to the Palace. Excellent location, wonderful rooms and decor, comfortable beds. For the first time ever we were on the same side as Hill Bottom Pie rather than facing the water, and I was very pleasantly surprised by how quiet that room was. Thanks fr the wonderful memories over the years!

Really enjoyed our stay! You will need to be prepared for stairs though. Right in the heart of everything to do in PT and walking distance end to end. Absolutely recommend

Liked the historical aspect of it.The rooms were spacious and clean, Games and books in the sitting areas were a nice touch! The staff went above and beyond by ensuring we had a portable A/C and fan and helping us with our luggage! Would recommend!!

Such a cool and unique historic hotel in downtown Port Townsend. We like the hotel so much we extended our stay. Great location across the street from waterfront and public square where musicians played mid-day. Rooms are beautiful, hotel is so fun to walk around and explore the community spaces. Enjoyed the complementary local newspaper in the morning with coffee from "better living through coffee" across the street. We want to come back to Port Townsend and stay here again!

This place is amazing. We had a very spacious suite with comfortable beds. There is a small library down the hall which everyone enjoyed. Very awesome place in walking distance to the water, pier, restaurants and shopping. The only thing we had trouble with was getting our luggage (approx 50 pounds) up the steps. We struggled with that coming and going. Otherwise, such a great place and the staff were very friendly and were very accommodating to help us add a second night on to our trip. Highly recommend if you are going into Port Townsend - whale watching trip with Puget Sound Express which is walking distance away.
