Americas Best Value Inn and Suites Clearlake

The accomodations were above our expectations. Facility was clean and peaceful. Front Desk clerk was very helpful and polite.

The room was very nice and clean. However, the lack of bedside lamps was a huge disappointment! Having only the very bright overhead lights is awful. And secondly, the blanket on the bed was almost as thin as the sheet- I had to spread my fuzzy jacket over my legs and feet. These are cheap, easy fixes.

Horrible smell really old property pool was dirty not a very nice place to stay

I was very impressed with this small motel. We rented two rooms - one was a suite and one was a mini suite. You do have to keep in mind this is an older property. And I was happy with both rooms. And the managers are terrific. I hadn’t been to Clear Lake for ages. Like decades and I didn’t know what to expect. I would definitely stay here again.

Has a good view of the lake has its own dock that's way cool to walk out on the lake

Blank is really smelly fresh in the summertime there's a backwash on the side and my dog fell in it one too happy with the green dog

Booked an associate to stay here for a short work trip. He has never complained about a room in 10 years, but when he arrived, he sent some pictures and said he couldn’t stay. Mold, broken piece of furniture, dirty room, holes in the comforter, stains on the toilet seat, etc! When he left, he told the front desks he was leaving and why. I asked Expedia for a refund, they said the policy wasn’t followed to request the refund before leaving, and the manager declined. I don’t recommend staying in this hotel. Expedia’s customer service is frustrating. It took more than a hour and a request to speak to a manager, hearing no 4 times and request for assistance to cancel my account, did they offer anything to make up for the inconvenience . Not good.

Loads of flies in the room and judging by the squashed flies on the wall, this wasn't a once off. Smell outside room was unbearable, had to hold breath on way to/from car.
