Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Rostock

Came in late, but read note and checked in with the hotel across the street. Very secure building and the breakfast was great.

The Small Sun hotel is situated 50m from the main big, central city square. This location makes it a great area to start from if you are looking for a "city vacation". One thing worth mentioning is that if you have a car, you need to use the parking garage of the "Big Sun" hotel, this gives you an elevator, a few stairs, crossing a street, and then another elevator/stair between your room and your car. Just based on this I would reccomend persons with a vehicle to choose the "Big Sun" hotel. For those travellers who do not have a vehicle the "Small Sun" hotel is perfect. The WiFi is free and relatively fast, and the shower has good pressure. The desk is not manned during the night, but you get a key-card to unlock the front door. We did not try the breakfast. The staff seems nice and knowleable about the area. I would stay here again if I did not have a vehicle.

the room was clean and quiet, but rather gloomy. The hotel is next to the city center and bars and restaurants.

The elevator and the internet were out (even if you paid 5 euros for internet). There was no coffee/tea service in the room and no free coffee downstairs to make up for the lack of amenities upstairs. The staff were very pleasant despite having to tell guests that things were out of order or simply not available.

The hotel is associated with one across the street, so we had to check in at that hotel because we missed the hours where someone was at the reception desk. We were nearly double charged for breakfast and wifi access, but the reception person was happy to fix the error without any issue. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is within walking distance of most of what Rostock has to offer. The neighborhood can be a bit loud, but thats the nature of staying near the centre of where the action is, and the noise did not disturb our sleep.

Very nice and friendly hotel - right by the shopping walking-streets and center of Rostock. Had a bit of problem at arrival, but solved to our satisfaction on the spot! Small rooms - but very clean and quiet. Would have been nice to be able to make a cup of coffee in the room - but there were plenty of cafees just 100 m away. Would like to use the hotel again!

I'd booked this room for one night after ferrying over from Sweden and before taking the train to Berlin the following day. It turned out to be an excellent choice: friendly, responsive reception staff; large clean room and bath, all up-to-date; nice location in an attractive old neighborhood with excellent restaurants and pubs. Like the room, the breakfast was excellent and good value.

We arrived in Rostock by ferry from Sweden, and wanted to stay one night before continuing our travels. I'd booked this hotel because it looked nice and the price was great. Well, the hotel far exceeded my expectations. Clean, lovely, thoroughly updated, airy rooms. Reception staff was very helpful, and the neighborhood offered plenty of nice restaurant options for dinner.

Great room and hotel very well situated for the centre of town. Receptionist recommended what turned out to be an excellent restaurant. the only downside was the parking - 9 euros to park overnight!
