La playa y el mar son realmente preciosos. La playa, es amplia y con arena blanca muy fina. Había muchas actividades en la playa. Todo muy cuidado. La habitación muy linda y cómoda, con todo lo necesario. Las piscinas del hotel realmente muy grandes y lindas, muy bien mantenidas. El desayuno, tipo buffet, tenía una gran variedad de cosas para comer y tomar, incluyendo jugos de distintas frutas, leche, yogur, quesos, fiambres, huevos de distintas formas, panes, frutas, infusiones, panqueques, etc. Hay 7 restaurantes distintos, con distintos tipos de comida y cada uno con su propia identidad. El equipo de entretenimiento hace un excelente trabajo cada día. En general todas las personas son muy amables y tratan de hacer lo mejor para que los clientes se sientan bien y disfruten de cada momento.

Aunque dormimos bastante bien, hubiera deseado que el colchón de la cama hubiera sido un poquitito más firme. En los restaurantes, el vino de la casa podría haber sido mejor.

A fab hotel with many good restaurants. we were in block 8 which overlooked the pool. The pools were really nice and the swim up bar was good.

Ocean blue and sand resort was an amazing experience Guillermo the manager at the front desk gave us a warm welcome and got everything sorted for us. Making the transition to the resort as easy as possible. As we were enjoying our stay Martire the cleaner at our unit was extremely helpful and kind. He ensured our room was stocked with cold water and beer every night. Overall a wonderful experience. especially as a first-time traveller to the country.

Let me start with the positives—because there are some. The rooms are spacious, modern, and nicely updated with all the amenities you’d expect. The lobby and bar are beautiful, the beach is genuinely great (clean, swimmable, no seaweed), and the pool is large and well-maintained with a quieter side if you want to avoid the chaos. There are also plenty of restaurant options, and they’re attentive about food allergies. That said, the food itself is mediocre at best, the minibar is underwhelming, and you’ll constantly have to ask for basics like water. Now for the reality: the service and overall experience were bad enough that we will never come back. From the moment we checked in, it was clear something was off. We were told to meet a staff member the next morning for a “welcome gift.” When we didn’t show up, she literally tracked us down—calling our room, waiting outside our building, and pushing us to meet with her. We were told it would take 15 minutes before breakfast. It did not. It was a sales presentation. This is apparently what happens when you book through a third-party site instead of directly through the hotel. After we declined to participate, the staff’s attitude completely changed. We were treated with open hostility and even told we had a “black mark.” Imagine paying to stay at a resort and then being treated like you don’t belong because of how you booked. It’s insulting and honestly ridiculous—we’re fully capable of booking direct, but we chose the cheaper option. That shouldn’t come with punishment. And it didn’t stop there. The hotel advertises free airport transportation for stays over four nights—we qualified. But when we tried to book it, we were denied and told to get a cab because we booked through a third party. That’s not a policy—it’s a bait-and-switch. Beyond that, the experience just kept falling apart. Staff were either rude or completely inattentive. Getting something as basic as water in the room felt impossible. The pool is overly loud, the gym is small and not clean, and unless you’re out at sunrise, good luck finding a beach chair. On top of that, you’re constantly being approached by people trying to sell you something on the beach and at the pool. The most frustrating part is that this place could actually be great—but the way they treat guests completely ruins it. The aggressive sales tactics, the clear bias against third-party bookings, and the overall attitude of the staff make it feel like you’re being punished for staying there. It’s honestly unacceptable. If this is how they choose to run things, save your money and go somewhere else.

We had a great time! We recommend upgrading to privilege for the private beach, cabanas and top shelf liquor. The staff are super helpful, especially Julio, Carlos M, and Wilmer. It’s a popular resort and the beach and pools are clean and nice. The restaurants are not great, but the buffet provides plenty of options.

Exceptional customer service. Both Daniel De La Rosa and Rayner Guerrero go above and beyond to provide whatever your poolside needs are. The Privilege part of the resort is the place to stay.

Honest review after 5 days: Overall I give this resort an 8/10. The staff, the people, the grounds all amazing. Buffet was 8/10. One of the best all inclusive buffets we’ve ever had. The desserts though werent anything exciting…at all in our opinion except the ice cream stand by the casino. The steakhouse was decent and Sensai was really good. We didnt try any others. I got on the H10 app at 7am and had no problem reserving. The pools were huge and amazing. The pool closest to the beach w the privilege section was the activity pool. Music while we were here was never super loud or obnoxious. We would go down around 715 before breakfast and get a spot. Yes there were alot already reserved but we never had an issue or on the beach in the afternoons for my afternoon dip in the ocean. The beach amazing. Was there seaweed? Of course its the ocean so you got some caught in your feet but the beach itself they did a great job cleaning. I did get bit up (first time in 6 visits) but hubby didnt so just depends. Id say bring bug spray and slap it on just in case. We were in room 3316. Facing the back. Didnt make a big deal bc I was only in there to shower, have some alone time w hubby lol and sleep. We hung out in the lobby a few evenings, nice chill environment. Didnt see any shows. We played pool and had some specialty cocktails and bowled. The cats didnt bother us. If you dont bother them they wont bother you for those that arent a fan or allergic. And there arent as many as I thought there would be. Also there are English tv channels. I was told there wasnt. ID channel, Lifetime and a few others. Mikes coffee shop was pretty good and despite long lines they were fast. Weather forecast changed every hour so dont even bother looking at it. It poured pretty good yesterday afternoon but within 30 min sun was out and hotter than ever. Relax, have fun and enjoy. We would definitely come back 🩷
