DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort

Damai Laut was a quick getaway from our hectic city life. The new West Coast Expressway has cut down significantly on the travelling time from Penang to Lumut to a mere 2.5 hours, not a tiring drive and still feeling refreshed upon arrival. I noticed the road entering the property is not equipped with street light, so a night drive would not be recommended. Check in process was smooth, hugely thanks to Ms. Veronica, her services provided exceeded our expectations and we truly appreciate her good gesture. The lounge is well maintained by Ms. Veronica and team. Ms. Veronica is very attentive, professional and friendly. She and her team make sure that all guests are comfortable and have an enjoyable and relaxing time in the lounge with sufficient food and drinks. As it's Christmas seasons, the lounge is nicely decorated as well. Amenities wise, we were able to keep ourselves and kids there for 3D2N without having the need to leave the property. The kids had a wonderful time at the mini water park and the kid's club. Hilton is a very responsible hotel where they have lifeguard guarding the pool. Adril, one of the lifeguard, is very professional and friendly. He makes sure all kids and even adults are safe playing the water slide. The buffet meals were reasonably priced with a variety of food selections suffice to satisfy everyone's taste in general. What impressed us was the fireworks display on Saturday night (not sure if this is a weekly thing or it is due to the festive season as we went on the week of Christmas). We had the opportunity to see the fireworks went off up close exactly above our heads. PS: Try not to park underneath the trees, our cars were covered with birds' litter on Day 3. There were also monkeys roaming around in troop, so stay vigilant when walking outside. Not complaining as this is unavoidable co-existing with nature.

Very nice place to stay with sea view room. Will visit again!

ルムのバスターミナル付近からタクシーで向かいました。 40分位かかりましたので想像していたよりも遠かったのですが、到着したら絶景のビーチリゾートで大変楽しめました。また、ホテルには、猿などの野生動物が生息しており、屋外で食事をしているとひやっとすることがありましたが、その都度、警備員さんが水鉄砲などで追い払ってくださっており、今では懐かしい想い出です。

The hotel is built beautifully. Lots of activities around and the activities court are well maintained. There’s the beach, golf course and pools! The pool area is big and very kid friendly! It’s a family pool with slides and stuff! The room is nice with actually really good toiletries. The ONLY unpleasant thing was the the room had a lot of flies! And I think it’s normal and unavoidable. The room came with fly swatter that the hotel advised us to use! Which I found fun but also after getting rid of a lot of flies it was a bit yuck.

Off the beaten track but we used a stop from north to south. Still suffering after Covid lockdown, so needs a bit of work, but all in all a good stay.

Room was clean, love that they provided robes and slippers. We enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly and seem happy to help with any requests. Breakfast buffet was really good, enjoyed the teh tarik a lot, they showed the brand they used but i didn't snap a picture so I don't remember. They tried to keep the buffet clean by constantly wiping the spills/mess. However the roti canai station was nor properly staffed. Kudos to the young man manning it at one point, all by himself while having to serve eggs and other things too. There is limited beach area but it is clean. There was an Indian guy helping with the bags when we got in and he also helped when we left, he was great, i forgot his name. Love the pool, seeing those monkeys on the resort ground, and that view of P.Pangkor, with the Navy's ships - I could wake up everyday to that and the teh tarik. Will be back if we are in the country again.

Newly furbished hotel. Great and wonderful. The only regret is the fly. It is due to chicken farms which are not within the hotel mgmt control My suggestions is to install fly zapper with blue UV light which can reduce the fly significantly

The room is nice. The pool area too crowded as i went during school holidays. Flies are also all over the place at the restaurant. The Hotpot restaurant is expensive considering the offering.
