Minnewaska Lodge

We have stayed at the Minnewaska Lodge many times, but have not been there since before the pandemic, when there was different management. It is still just as cozy and lovely and peaceful, however, we had some concerns this time. The young man at the front desk was kind and helpful, and upgraded our room. However, the heat in the room was not working properly, as it blasted hot air, even when set at 58 degrees. That made it difficult to sleep. However, the beds were excellent and very comfortable. The drain in the bathtub did not stay up, so the tub began to fill during my shower. Sadly, the gas wood burning stove did not work, we had looked forward to sitting in the common area by the fire. The breakfast was nice and varied, even though there were very few of us staying at the lodge, plenty of choices were provided. So, our stay was a mixed bag. I would surely return, as we love this place, but I don't feel it's acceptable to let things go and not maintain them. I heard from the front desk that renovations are in order, so let's hope that will remedy the little problems.

We had a wonderful time at our stay - the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and even left us a gift of local chocolates with a hand-written note for our anniversary which was a very nice touch.

The cost was a little on the high side for staying just a night but it was a gorgeous property and we enjoyed the location and the room/comfort.

Breakfast selection is very minimal

The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the spaces very warm and cozy.

Price point was pretty high for the off season

Friendly staff. Wonderful, simple facilities. Steps away from the Mountain Brauhaus. Hard to beat for the price.

An indoor fire stove would have been nice.
